Digital Aviation's CRJ

Featured Replies

Hi

I heard good things about their Fokkers, don't have them but there are only 148 aircraft left in the real world so I think I just wait for the CRJs. I just visited their site and I was surprised that they are also working on CRJ's, I didnt knew that. I couldnt find any information if it is also designed for fs2004 or fsx only. Any info? and Mr Georg also stated that CRJ's project is alive unlike its Fokker's virtual cockpit which seems very very slow. Since that I am a happy and satisfied Leonardo MD 82 user, CRJ is on my next list, I just love those tails ^_^ ^_^ can't wait to fly with Jazz livery...

Cheers

CRJ is on my next list,

Well at the moment you have a choice of Wilco, Wilco and Wilco ... payware for either FS9 or FSX. The Digital Aviation CRJ (FSX only), more Aerosoft these days, has had a very protracted gestation and release this year unlikely. Of course JRollins make a good one, by all accounts, for XPlane 10.

right, but I think I'd rather wait.. wilco has mixed reputation regarding its products. While 737 and Airbus were just okay, (737 is better than the Bus IMO),I dont see ERJ and CRJ are in the same level as 737 classic.. the Virtual Cockpit is flat and boring. Just being honest here. ^_^

Wilco has a few nice planes, but the CRJ is not one of them. Avoid.

For what it's worth and when it was developed Wilco's CRJ is a great plane. It has one of the best flight dynamics, the external textures and model are very nice, the internal textures are quality to give the user a good sense of the aircraft, the systems are modeled to challenge the user as well. It does take some getting used to, as any advanced add-on should. I believe many become frustrated with challenging add-on aircraft and then discount them due to that instead of on the merits of the plane itself. It is the only option for a CRJ on the FS 2004 platform that has a VC and more advance systems at the moment.

While I can't comment on the Fokker - the quality of the DA Piper Cheyenne puts in my top 10 list of all time... I've spent more time flying the Cheyenne than any other GA aircraft I have... If the CRJ has the DA stamp on it - I'll buy it when it is released...

Digital Aviation produces incredible addons - if you haven't got their DO27 you are missing out on something very special. It's much, much more than just another STOL GA aircraft. It is by far the most immersive GA single ever produced for FS

Affirm. I appreciate their hard works, it's a matter of taste.

Thanks Fritz.

I just browsed what you meant with DO27 lol.. I am not the biggest GA plane, but it seems nice though.

I respectfully have to disagree with you.

I bought Wilco's CRJ a long while ago and it is one of the worst add-ons I ever bought.

The panel graphics are sub-standard (FS98-ish) and the flight model is lousy.

The freeware Posky CRJ 900 is 1000 times better (but has no panel)

Are you sure you mean the CRJ and not the ERJ's? (Which are very good)

I think PMDG will be under a lot of friendly customer pressure to tackle a popular regional jet after they release the 777 and 747 v2. I also enjoy Javier Rollon's CRJ-200 in XP10. Hopefully he wil move on to the 700/900/1000 series.

I agree with the comments about the DA Cheyenne. It was the plane that I flew around the world and to every country in Africa. I love looking out the windows at those beautiful wingtip tanks. The only gripe I had with the Cheyenne was that it was very hard for people to repaint. Something about the paintkit scared people off.

Hopefully, the paintkit for the CRJ will be better.

Hi Bill,

Re: Cheyenne

There was a good package of about five or six paints that I used all the time... Worth downloading if you missed them - I forget the painters name but I think it's one of the guys from the Historic Jet Liners group...

Yeah - my only gripe was the darn Trimble... I swapped it out for the RXP530 - but - I could never get the "NAV/GPS" indicator to work properly...

No problem, yes the CRJ, I liked the flight model, was my favorite part. Moot point now since you can't even buy this add-on any more. Yes the ERJ is a marked improvement.
