September 24, 201213 yr Morn'n Folks, I have my new i2700k Sandy build operational - as of this weekend... One of the first planes I tried to load was the Dreamfleet 727... The plane seemed to install fine - on a separate SSD from the one I loaded the OS on... While I haven't tested everything in FS9 - it does seem to fly well... Only issue - is I get an error "429 - no license available" when I attempt to launch the Configuration Manager... The plane was installed completely from the F1 wrapper without error... I've repeated the process several times... I made sure no anti virus software was running... I've opened up the permissions on the drive so anyone has "full control"... Someone directed me to a post where someone on Vista had a similar issue and they had a fix file for it... The fix didn't work... I had this running fine on Vista x32 previously... Any ideas ??? Regards, Scott
September 24, 201213 yr I don't know how to help you, but I have Win7 64 and the DF727 config manager works fine for me. So there must be a solution out there somewhere that someone more knowledgeable than me can give you. Hopefully it'll be just a matter of one more post. Keep smiling :-) Gavin Barbara Over 10 years here and AVSIM is still my favourite FS site :-)
September 24, 201213 yr Author Hi Gavin, Every little bit helps - appreciate you taking the time to respond... At least I know it's possible to get working... Thanks... Regards, Scott
September 24, 201213 yr I don't have the DF727, but I had the same problem with the F1 ATR. It has something to do with missing DLLs in your system folder. Can't recall the exact name, but Flight1 has a fix on their download page. -fz
September 24, 201213 yr I was going to say the same thing as the post above. I had a similar problem when reloading into my new PC and there is a small software patch you need to load - you will find it on the F1 support website. Enjoy that new rig! I have mine running perfectly now, though the long, long task of checking everything (AI aircraft, traffic files etc.) is still taking up a lot of time. But when it's done I will have an optimal system running at a performance level I could only dream of before Good luck mate Ian
September 24, 201213 yr .... But when it's done I will have an optimal system running at a performance level I could only dream of before Good luck mate Ian Yes, but the way things are going, it'll then be time to upgrade everything again! Colin B

September 24, 201213 yr Author Hi Fz, Ian, Colin, DJ,

Thanks for the help - guys... I did some searching and I found this link as well:

http://www.flight1.com/kb/
September 24, 201213 yr Author Hi Fz, Ian, Colin, DJ, Sorry - Tapatalk on my iPad jjas been giving me formatting issues since the last update... I'll check the links and really appreciate the help folks... I won't be ably to test until next weekend as I'm traveling this week... This was a link I found after searching on the above advice: http://www.flight1.com/kb/?id=9 Regards, Scott
September 25, 201213 yr It will work for you Scott - it's a quick fix mate! You'll probably run into a few more little issues like that - fixes that you downloaded years ago and have forgotten all about them. But you'll get it sorted out in no time and be in FS heaven.
September 25, 201213 yr Using older software such as Fs9 in Win 7-64 is a great way to keep a retirees mind sharp. Many mental exercises pop up.
September 25, 201213 yr Author Thanks guys... Yeah - I've got too many planes I really like too much to write them off to FSX just quite yet... I'll plod through this - one plane at a time if I have to... We'll see how it goes... I already tested the Wilco E-Jets 190 on the new box and I think it will run well... I have the Sandy using a "canned" over-clock to 4.45Ghz with frames locked at 35 and it doesn't even break a sweat... I never used the plane on my old Conroe because I found the poor frame rates unacceptable... Just need to get through the hours of loading and configuration to get the FS9 setup up to spec... Regards, Scott
September 25, 201213 yr Scott, Since I am eager to get back into vatsim skies again, I installed FS9 about a week ago and the first plane I installed was the DF727. As it turned out it's the only plane I've installed so far since I am having such a ball handflying it, especially on approaches. Dated looks, yes, but the fun factor definitely makes up for it! September 25, 201213 yr Author Hi Krister, Gotta love the plane - I guess I've got a thing for the three holer's... I really wished Paul had liked the DC-10 better than the DC-8 he started on... I only recently noted his sig now carries the "727X" in it... Some hope for a future release ??? I had my DF727 modded with the Rockwell FMC by ISGsim... I normally use RC4 for IFR flights and having a "modern" FMC helps... It wasn't too unrealistic as I did manage to find a 727 cockpit on "airliners.net" with the very same setup... Good luck with your new FS9 setup and enjoy VATSIM... Regards, Scott
