October 30, 201213 yr Oh boy, am I going to come off as a negative person now. Don't take this as bashing of any product or person, living or dead, this is just my point of view.. I, for example, don't always have the time to follow the complete preflight checks and procedures in order to fly a plane, but still I want to do a flight in, say a 767, so with the CLS version I can just jump into the cockpit, press CTRL+E and taxi to the runway without having to set up the FMC correctly, while in the LevelD I couldn't. On the other hand, I wouldn't like to spend 50 bucks on an aircraft with only default systems. Does it really feel like you're flying a 767 if you can just press Ctrl E and go? And Aerosim does after all have a lot of non default stuff too, such as simple FMC, IFE screens in cabin and more. I not trying to be an a** here and I have nothing against Aerosim, but honestly IFE screens in the cabin doesn't interest me. Daniel Nilsson
October 30, 201213 yr I know this is totally off topic, but I just have to say this. Does it really feel like you're flying a 767 if you can just press Ctrl E and go? Does it feel like flying when you sit in front of a computer pretending you are an aircraft pilot? As stated above: I sometimes just don't have the time for doing all that stuff, but still I want to fly a lrager aircraft. In this case I have to do it this way. But to answer your question, it doesn't feel like flying a 767, but then again, flying the PMDG MD-11 doesn't really feel like flying to me either. Back on topic: How about the model of the Aerosim 787 (exterior and VC, I don't care about the cabin)? Judging from the screenshots I've seen, it doesn't look really detailed, but screenshots can be deceiving here. Regards, Flo Florian
October 30, 201213 yr Does it feel like flying when you sit in front of a computer pretending you are an aircraft pilot? I don't have to pretend. That's why I don't like the Ctrl E. Enough about that. Back on topic indeed. Daniel Nilsson
November 1, 201213 yr Go to X-Plane and get the X-Plane B787 which is much cheaper. ....and IMHO comparable to most freeware for FSX..... George Retired RW ATP (DHC8-1/2/3, B737-3/4/5, A320), 5240h... now permanently grounded by Diabetes. www.diabetes.org.uk
November 1, 201213 yr If u want the Aerosim there is now a retrofit out that gives it a decent FMC that is actually functional.
November 1, 201213 yr I just bought it too, I was somewhat impressed with the model, really nice VC, it looks like the thing and gives good inmersion all arround, flies well. While the systems being all automatic for flight with the FSX flight plan, I'm kind of confused when I want to change some modes in the autopilot, it does some weird things, perhaps I'm doing something wrong, Yes pricey but a great 787 until QW release their own in about a year. Cheers, Alexander Colka

November 1, 201213 yr Where actually? isgsim.com under retrofits... u would have to buy the gauge pack though... i already have it since i use it with alot of my planes..
November 2, 201213 yr Commercial Member Thanks, bough it, seems like I will be able to make a lot of planes more enjoyable to use with this.
November 2, 201213 yr Can you install the Isg FMC in the VC ? If yes how ? Thanks too much, too soon....
November 2, 201213 yr Commercial Member Can you install the Isg FMC in the VC ? If yes how ? Thanks Just go to isg website and download this: http://www.isgsim.com/?page=panel_library⊂=retro_aerosim_b787 Replace default panel.cfg files with this and you will have FMC in VC.
November 3, 201213 yr I have Aerosim B787 and I love it. You guys can wait on the QW till hell freezes. Between now and early next year real B787 will start flying revenue flights. Us flight simmers would love to fly these routes on this great amazing plane on your desktop. Again, the same question....which good B787 is out there right now? Well...none, except Aerosim. I bought this in September and logged hours of real time flying and that fifty bucks is already worth it and by the look of things probably will fly this plane till mid 2013. But once the QW is out, then this will go in in the hangar.I have other add-ons that I have interfaced with this B787 panel and made this product semi FMC and not a default FSX . Again it is not ala....PMDG..but who cares, the visual model alone can compete with them and CLS. Kin M.
November 4, 201213 yr Indeed, 50 bucks for a year of great fun is a well spent money until QW releases their 787 in one year ahead. Sent from my BlackBerry Runtime for Android Apps using Tapatalk 2 Alexander Colka
November 4, 201213 yr Yes, I agree, AeroSim's 787 is a great plane, looks great, flies great, good framerates, maybe ?, the VC isn't as functional as the QW one to come, but I don't want to have flip 20 switches just to get the engines going, plus it has a bunch of repaints already, a year is just too long to wait when there's a perfectly fine 787 out now.
