November 5, 201213 yr Bose speakers are generally very expensive, and I believe most people think that their quality does not justify their price. I used to use a set of Audioengine A5s, which were very nice and highly regarded by myself, CNET, and others on Amazon. While they are quite good for flight simulation, I primarily used them for classical / classic rock. The bass is pretty good, and you have the convenience of having fewer wires.
November 5, 201213 yr For Comps these are the ones you shoud look at Altec Lansing MX5021 Klipsch Pro Media. Both are 2.1 , i have owned a pair of MX5021 and nothing comes close to them but :( I have broken them due to shifting and I am now using AVS300 (Altec Lansing ) and they too are absolutely fantastic. November 5, 201213 yr In regard to speakers JBL probably makes some of the best products you can find out there.

November 5, 201213 yr I am currently using an old set of Altec Lansing AVS300s (which I see Ironmaiden is using as well). I would say that they work well for flight simulation, but the Audioengine A5s that will be coming back to me in December/January are far superior (and more expensive) regarding both gaming/simulation and music. Basically, if you are looking for speakers only for flight simulation, the desktop speakers recommended here will be sufficient. But I believe that my original recommendation of bookshelf speakers is far better looking and sounding in every regard.

November 6, 201213 yr Using Bose right now, but when I build my cockpit does ProSim737 allow surround sound? Engine sounds should be coming from the back, not the front Soarbywire - Avionics Engineering
