Hourly posreps might appear to be a pain, but I don't see the point in clocking up hours by setting the FMS and then leaving it to fly itself. You're only there at the start and end of a flight. Your PC should get the credit for the hours in between.

It nearly put me off joining BAV but I now find it a natural and acceptable part of a flight. If you fly online you would need to be at the PC more than once an hour anyway. It does mean I can't fly long haul if I have other commitments, but so be it.

I'd recommend sticking with it until you get to Captain and can try a long haul with BAV. Or maybe fly a "classic" on a long haul route to see how you cope with the posreps. I find the hourly posrep requirement actually adds to the VA experience. I set my watch bezel as a visual reminder of when the next report is due, but setting an alarm on your phone is another possibility. I also changed the posrep due warning sound to a louder and more attention getting tone which helps.

I know a few people in my va who will only fly group longhauls so they can saty online go to bed for 8 or so hours and wake up in land. They do the group so they dont get contacted by a supervisor. This seems t be pointless and unrealistisc because in real life they do not do this.

Eh, I personally hate to see money wasted, I'll be flying all my PMDG birds even With the 777 out.

There's a particular 777 from another developer that won't be flown for some time after the T7 is out.

Im thinking about joining BAV, i have around 730 hours on VATSIM at the moment, I take it these count nothing towards BAV hours?

As far as I understand you can have hours transferred from another VA to BAV, but they dont count for rank or status, the transferred hours will show but not actually meen anything in the BAV system.

For me is the ngx the favorite for short flights .but id like the t7 also the b747.

Sometimes changing from airplane like ngx to t7 for long ranges and 747 for long range fly

Since the NGX released, i never fly another product, its simply amazing for me and im sure 777 will be another super product from PMDG, so i think i will fly both, NGX for daily flight & 777 for weekend B)

I will continue flying the NGX, along with the PMDG 777 once it comes out.. I'll also continue to fly the Skymaster in the ORBX FTX NA scenery I have. Looks like I might have to invest in ORBX Australia and New Zealand scenery in light of some of the 777 routes posted earlier. I still have yet to learn the intracacies of the MD-11.
