November 16, 201213 yr Hello, after sometime using my FSX I discovered finally that I have a weird problem. The problem appears on my PMDG MD11 and NGX. Minutes after take off parts inside the cockpit are getting transparent! I will be more precise. I see properly all the NDs, the PFDs and all the other instruments, but around them everything is transparent. I see the ground! The same on the upper panel. I see all the buttons and switches and the rest is all blue sky! The strange thing about this, is that happens ONLY when I select nightime or late afternoon time. Selecting daytime everything works perfect. Please can somebody enlighten me and tell me from where this problem comes from? Thank you in advance Panos Kotzias
November 16, 201213 yr Hi You could try going to: Settings -> Display -> Aircraft and seeing if somehow the 2-d panel transparency slider has been moved. I had a similar problem some time ago and this fixed it. Cheers Paul Hand

There is no known fix. One of the many reasons why I hate FSX, and stopped flying it. I got the MD-11 for FS9 recently after getting so annoyed with not being able to fly it. Best thing I ever did. You might want to try HIGHMEMFIX=1 in the GRAPHICS section of FSX.cfg file, but this didn't resolve the problem for me - just delayed it (FSX is full of memory leak bugs and other serious programming issues). There is no way I'd attempt a 15 hour flight in FSX. Best regards, Robin.
November 18, 201213 yr Author Hello Robin, actually these are really bad news if there is not a known fix. Ok, i will try this HIGHMEMFIX think, and on the same time i will ask the FSX forum if there is a possible solution. Thank you for your help Panos Kotzias

It sounds like either your system is running low on resources or you have a config problem. Have you run the Bojote tweaks or any other tweaks to your system? Will Reynolds Flight Sim Addict
