November 25, 201213 yr Why does everything in X Plane always look dull, no matter the weather, no bright vibrant colors, let the flaming begin gentlemen.

November 25, 201213 yr Have to agree -in my 25 years of flying never seen anything that looks like that -just being honest... Geofa WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!
November 25, 201213 yr Why does everything in X Plane always look dull, no matter the weather, no bright vibrant colors, let the flaming begin gentlemen. Well - obviously those are taken at late evening close to when the sun sets. That is the time where things tend to get duller than in bright daylight. Not quite as dull as midnight but duller than noon. Its called dawn ^_^. That said I have to agree that X-Plane often is a bit duller than I would like. It seems to be a bit less dull in HDR mode though. No. 4 is nice .
November 25, 201213 yr The DC-3 pic is the best looking one, still not exactly right, at least to me, but it is the best as far as being vibrant, its just to me all colors and brightness seem to be 'off" a bit in X Plane, maybe it will be fixed soon with the updates.
November 25, 201213 yr One thing I've noticed in some screenshots is on the ground, terrian planes buildings etc. will look as if its a cloudy day when the scenery will be of a clear bright sunny day, no shadows ?, now there is a screenshot of Wilmington scenery with a Cessna in one of the posts that almost looks right - bright sunny day, colors fairly vibrant, with shadows
November 25, 201213 yr Author Thanks very much for the feedback,I believe I set time of day to late afternoon in winter and overcast,I think under sunny high afternoon conditions the colors are incredibly vibrant in X-Plane. 100%75%50%d8a34be0e82d98b5a45ff4336cd0dddc Patrick
November 25, 201213 yr Your last pic is by far the best, I might just try the demo again, now that 10.20 beta is out, thanks Phantom for the pics
