1st of all, you don't need to bite my head off?

2nd, It does have to do with it. Flightbeam is in the same Coalt Addon Manager as Fsdreamteam, and it says on the Flightbeam website moving jetway ready specfifically for GSX. Why else would they do this?

If you have AES, it would replace all the jetways so they could move.

I wasn't bitting your head off at all, just stating a fact.

Still, the fact that SFO didnt gave moving jetways has nothing at all to do with the fact that GSX was or wasn't available at the time.

It was as simple as a design choice by Mir not to use the default jetway bones/animation for SFO. The fact they use Couatl/Addon Manager for purchase security and also that GSX doesnt contol jetways anyway has no bearing on SFO's static jetways or PHX's moving ones.

If you still think that GSX has something to do with SFO having static jetways and not moving ones we can get Mir to post over here an clear it up for you and anyone else that believes the same.

To add to that, any developer could use the default jetway bones/animation to animate their jetways if they wanted, regardless of GSX. FSDT has been doing this well before GSX came around.

I will give this one a try if it goes on sale again. Phoenix has never been one of my favorite stops, but it does look like they did an outstanding job on this one.

It compliments Megascenery phoenix as well. Both of them together is even better.

Summer1, Jimburke is correct. The reason KSFO doesn't have animated jetways has nothing to do with GSX. Here's a quote from Mir from his forum on the subject.

http://www.flightbea...c.php?f=4&t=118

"Default FSX jetways are out of the question. icon_e_biggrin.gif The memory consumed by those things are ridiculous, due to inefficient coding in FSX.

However custom jetways, similar to what FSDT does is something very approachable. I avoided it for KSFO due to the sheer amount of detail and textures that took priority. But KPHX is looking pretty good with less items taking memory."

Also, on the KPHX product page it doesn't say "moving jetway specifically for GSX." What is actually says is:

Active Jetways and Native GSX Support, no GSX Purchase Required are two different things and have nothing to do with each other. You can use all the features of GSX at PHX like you can at all the FSDT airports without having to purchase GSX.

I agree. I use it with MegaScenery X Phoenix and it blends really well and looks awesome at night time combined with UT nigh lighting.

Wasn't there another topic that said there were no 777's that go into PHX? Anyway, we should stay on topic. The scenery is awesome!

The BA flight to PHX from LHR has been both a 772 and a 744 - it's been a 744 for quite a few years now though. Comes in every night right around 4 or 5PM.

And just to reiterate what others have said - the scenery is amazing. KPHX is my home airport and they did an great job with it.

Sorry. I guess I was incorrect. I have no idea why SFO has no animated jetways.

Read the quote from Mir I provided above (and below) and you will know why KSFO has no animated jetways.

Amazing :)

But what were your frames with those?

When flying into PHX with the NGX in the Day I, cockpit about 32, and outside/wing like 40 for me.

Frames were pretty good.. since it was not an issue.. I don't remember.

Just curious, as UT highway lights are like a -15 fps for me.

Hmm, you have no ground texture issues at PHX with UTX lighting enabled? I have an active topic at their support forum because when I have the UTX lights enabled I get weird ground texture layering issues. With lights disabled the issue goes away.

- Aaron

Hmmm.... I have turned off everything in UT...except for the lights. If it were not for the lights, I'd remove UT.

And I don;t have any other issues with it... and the FPS hit is no where near -15fps

You have a better system than mine, but I get no layering issues with UTX lights and Flightbeam KPHX
