You cannot fly outside of UK with the scenery enabled. It's ridiculous, but that's how it works - Fortunately i found that out before i purchased.

It ruins my Africa default scenery as well and the Madeira airport. It's impossible to fly from the UK to Madeira island...

Thanks for that info. I nearly bought it too.

It would be good if this was fixed have ORBX said anything?

Wow thats ridiculous! I think a refund is in order :P

The 'solution' is to save the flight, exit FSX, disable the UK scenery and load the flight once again. Now imagine doing this online with ATC... Doesn't work for me.

Maybe the future is lots of european ORBX scenery regions which will slot seamlessly in to the UK.

Have your credit cards ready.

And then you want to fly between Europe and Asia so wait for whole world ORBX coverage... 50 years of development, have your credit cards ready.

I'm flying only short local VFRs, so no problem for me, but I can imagine this could be a big deal for guys flying commercial planes.

Cheers, George.

Yeah, ive just disabled it till I do VFR, but I dont understand why they would make a product which messes everywhere up but the UK

You serious? I haven't found one error outside UK with scenery enabled... been flying and trying around Europe, with FTX EU enabled, and I have no problems. Much like flying outside FTX NA when that is enabled.

I flew couple of routes with NGX over Europe, didn't see any problems.

It seems to be out of Europe that picture was taken at HESH and as soon as I disabled FTX it went back to normal

I've never had any problems flying outside the UK with this enabled either, nor outside any of their other sceneries. Only thing I remember reacting to was one time I forgot to switch from FTX Australia and I suddenly found palm trees at my local airport up here in Norway

I'm seeing the same issues - in Europe and outside of Europe - and as close to England as Glasgow!!.

The following thread gives some more info/screenshots as there are a number of users suffering:

You guys that don't see it are clearly flying too seriously and not looking out the window enough

Yes, i'm serious. Madeira (Europe), Algiers, Dubai, South Africa... And there should be more, i just didn't find it as this was at a friend's house and we didn't have much time.

Africa (Algiers) looks like this:

We didn't grab a picture of Madeira island, but it "features" flying houses...

There's a theory that this may be a conflict with the Scenery Tech landclass.

One user on the Orbx forums disabled Scenery Tech in the FSX scenery library and the texture issues were resolved.

Haven't tried this myself yet, but will do next time I fire up FSX.

I dont have Scenery Tech landclass so im very unsure

Disregard.
