January 18, 201313 yr I don't see it mentioned in the other posts but IMO this is a biggie: A CTD/memory leak fault finder utility which can diagnose errors (e.g. d3d9.dll, g2d.dll, g3d.dll, panels.dll, terrain.dll etc) and find faults within a specific scenery, aircraft, module or file, such as a corrupt texture causing a memory leak or CTD. No doubt many members here have experienced CTDs to the point where they're forced to reinstall FS9/FSX. The utility I'm looking for is something like ACA2005/ACA2007, these programs can find faults related to addon aircraft and flight plans, and I must say they're very useful when manually editing AI aircraft.
January 18, 201313 yr I just vote for an FSX 32 bit to 64 bit converter that optimizes everything and also codes it for dx11. LOL. OK that was super unrealistic. fsx is a beautiful sim when it works. Also those looking for ATC , keep an eye on ProAtc. Getting better all the time. Many successful flights with it. And many more improvements to come. Much of what you requested has been implemented or will be. CYVR LSZH I7-14700k 64gb 6000Mhz DDR5 ASUS z690 ROG STRIX Gaming RTX 4080 Super,
January 19, 201313 yr Smaller houses, smaller trees and boats, a lot of scenery is scaled way to big in FSX
January 21, 201313 yr scaled way to big in FSX I've kind of been curious about this... one only has to park their Carenado King Air 200 next to the stock King Air 350 for an example. Having done real time in abused rentals, I can say that the view is real close in scale as far as the scenery goes. Planes on the other hand, (and airports for that matter) are a different story.
January 21, 201313 yr A google earth add, google earth doesn't only give you photorealistic ground texture but the software allows the google-community to make 3 d models of buildings, I must say that looks pretty good. Would be nice to use that in FSX.
