February 11, 201313 yr Welcome FlyBoy! Lots of great and helpful people hang around here at AVSIM. I love lying in Africa too. Too bad there isn't a whole lot of realistic scenery for Africa. Simmerhead - Making the virtual skies unsafe since 1987!
February 11, 201313 yr Welcome! Enjoy the forums, the people here great and helpful are lot. I love lying in Africa too. Too bad there isn't a whole lot of realistic scenery for Africa. I agree, Africa has some really really nice places to fly, but it would also deserve some more attention from the developers. Maybe ORBX treatment for FSX? Because it sure is *the* place for bush flying! Have fun, Flo Florian
February 11, 201313 yr Welcome, Aaron. Flying in Africa, that's a good idea. I'm assuming you already have at least the South African freeware on your disk? Unfortunately, default FSX doesn't offer that much in this region. What are your planes in operation so far?
February 12, 201313 yr I wish there were more African scenery available. I know there's lot's of interesting and fun stuff for South Africa, and some stuff for the north (for example, Morocco and Egypt) but aside from that it seems like terra incognito (or, if anyone has some good scenery please provide!) scott s. .
February 12, 201313 yr Commercial Member Welcome to the forum Aaron I also think flying in Africa is amazing, I spent a few years there at a BAE base and have very good memories, an old friend of mind still fly's the ATR on some very interesting and scenic trips. This well known website has some good African scenery although as others have stated, the high quality pay ware side is severely lacking. http://www.freewarescenery.com/ Rob Prest
