February 15, 201313 yr I see what you did there. ^_^ But, relief, it's. Simulator: Microsoft FSX or Lockheed Martin Prepar3D http://www.flight1te...F1Tech1000.aspx :acute: LOL!! I was speaking about the 249.00 software. For 5000.00 you should be able to use it on you RW plane....lol, but yes it does look very nice. February 15, 201313 yr I was speaking about the 249.00 software. I see. Wrong link of mine. Here's the right one. http://www.flight1te...andPricing.aspx The 5000 bucks hardware just comes with the 250 bucks software in a bundle. Sorry, the pro version of it. Then one should use a second PC and that Blue Gene FSX runs on. ^_^ What a setup! By the way, if one wants to catch a glimpse of the real G1000, Garmin offers the trainer for some 25 Dollars. https://buy.garmin.c...op.do?pID=13505 Perhaps Bill can write something to allow it to run like the RXP thingies. Well, with Garmin already stressing the performance demands, it's unlikely to be feasible I guess. Besides, if one would run Garmin's synthetic vision in a gauge within FSX, wouldn't that be a dream within in a dream?
November 29, 201312 yr Anyone know how the Emuteq radio NC165 communicates with FSX so I can try and get it to work in Prepar3d. I have e mailed Emuteq several times with no response...I have a feeling he has given up. Dave
November 30, 201312 yr I'm buying this for my flight school. We're getting 2 diamond (D-20/-40) aircraft with G1000's... Our C-172 have G430's.
December 22, 201312 yr ERAUgrad02, I was wondering what your experience has been with the Flight 1 or Emteq G1000 panels with Flight1 software. I'm thinking of doing something similar for a flight program that uses Diamond DA40s.
December 22, 201312 yr Actually its a pretty good deal considering we spend $800 on a video card that has a shelf life of no more than two years. I spent $3000 on 8 analog gauges from Flight illusions. If I were actively flying, I would have bought this F1 G1000 setup I'd like to add my analog gauges to this G1000 setup like a Cessna citation.. Left side the PFD, the middle has the MFD and the right side has the Analog gauge. I like to do my IFR with analog gauge to keep my skills sharp I also like the idea that the G1000 runs on a second PC which means it would not take away from my primary PC running FSX/P3D and the three 24" monitor outside view. Hmm... Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
June 4, 201412 yr honestly this thing isn't too hard to build, granted I could not make individualized software like the f1 and it would run off the basic available p3d/fsx keymaps for the g1000, but if I can get enough guys to say "Id be willing to buy one" maybe I might consider it, I'd estimate prob $200-$250 though -advantage I have is access to a cnc mill and/or waterjet to custom cut frames and pieces out, I attend a university that has this kind of stuff luckily and they havent failed me at letting me use it for free as long as I provided the material and design
June 4, 201412 yr I'm buying this for my flight school. We're getting 2 diamond (D-20/-40) aircraft with G1000's... Our C-172 have G430's. Why? Get the Redbird desktop sim with G1000 for a little more and you have an FAA approved training device that has a small footprint. Learn the G1000 and log actual sim time. I don't think you can do that with the Flight 1 setup. Just a thought. honestly this thing isn't too hard to build, granted I could not make individualized software like the f1 and it would run off the basic available p3d/fsx keymaps for the g1000, but if I can get enough guys to say "Id be willing to buy one" maybe I might consider it, I'd estimate prob $200-$250 though -advantage I have is access to a cnc mill and/or waterjet to custom cut frames and pieces out, I attend a university that has this kind of stuff luckily and they havent failed me at letting me use it for free as long as I provided the material and design If you could make a $250 G1000 bezel and make it compatible with the Mindstar G1000, I'd buy it tomorrow.
