I'd forgotten what a joy cross country fliying is when using Cumulus X and photoscenery. This was taken about half way through my flight yesterday, which took most of the afternoon purely in thermal lift. The flight was in the Aerosoft Discus with a start time of 1.45pm on May 22nd. Take off was with a winch up to 1500' ASL,  from Caernarvon, just west of Snowdon, down to Talgarth gliding club on the north slopes of the Black Mountains. I must add that the birds in the picture are care of Cumulus X and not the default ones in FSX... BTW, the stunning scenery is Just Flight's VFR real scenery. However, it's a REAL shame that the rest of the UK doesn't match up to this area of Wales.

From the altitude in your image, the terrain details seem very sharp! The birds add immersion, too.

Thanks for the kind replies guys. I can thoroughly recommend this scenery for flying in Wales, it really is a beautiful rendition of the area and perfect for soaring...

Like to see this motivates me to fly fsx little by little each day.
