September 8, 200421 yr Author Its an incredible plane isnt it? I personally think the 749 with the radar nose is the most beautiful connie. I like that radar nose!I know this group has plans to create all models. We're in for some kinda treats boys and girls. :-) Freeware to boot! (isnt that awesome?!)Eric AND
September 8, 200421 yr Hello All,Downloaded it this morning . . . only had a few minutes to play with it before I had to head to the horse auction this afternoon, however, it really looks good, and seems to fly even better.A beautiful aircraft, and another shinning example of what wonderful freeware developers we have in this hobby -- outstanding gentlemen!Hats off to you and your fine work . . . love the time it must have took to reproduce all those rivets!!!BestClayton T.Dopke (Clay)Major, USAF (retired)"Drac"Sundance Quarter Horses "....a horse is a horse, of course, of course . . September 8, 200421 yr Agreed, this plane is in the top drawer, that's for sure. I'd compare the quality to two other great freeware planes that came out this year, the DeHavilland Chipmunk and the Soko-Goleb jet trainer. All three are really excellent.Looking forward to that VC.
September 8, 200421 yr Author Very neat livery the MATS bird. Thats a L-749 in real life, not an 049. Still pretty to look at!EJ AND
September 9, 200421 yr Has anyone else had a problem with this Connie dying in the middle of a flight? It has happened to me every time I've flown. I get close to my destination and the engines just stop. Yes, I had plenty of gas. All the warning lights become lit and when I restart the engines, the props run but there is no sound. The tachometers and the manifold pressure gauges become are completely off. So, I just glide to the ground with my props spinning.I read all the lit that came with the plane but could not find an answer. BTW, the first time I experienced this my entire system crashed. I was trying to autostart it back to life. I hope that somebody has some suggestions because this is truly one of the best freeware planes out there and I want to be able to use it properly. Thanks in advance!!!Bill
September 9, 200421 yr Are we forgetting Milton Shupe's(and team) awesome collection of Aero Commanders and his Howard 500?-------------------Racartronit means something, but I just can't remember what
