Why the 777-200LR is in the base pack and not the ER?

Featured Replies

And do I understand Mr. Randazzo said the ER could be released as part of the base pack if testing drags on? Not sure I understand this correctly.

That was about the 300ER, IIRC.

The release with 200LR/300ER and F would be best case scenario for me, as it would include all body types, allowing me to use 200LR as a stand-in for Transaero 200ER (for the time being) or a 300ER as a stand-in for their 300, use 200LR proper for Delta and Emirates, 300ER for Aeroflot, Etihad and Turkish, and maybe British. Freighter is always nice for random cargo hops, even if there is not much operators. Then again, making fictional repaints for my favorite MD-11 operators would not take too long.

Will the 200ER get created?  I'm certain of it...  (The airplane is already finished- we just have to come back and do all the grunt work on the systems differences and the sounds, etc...)

This is really excellent news! Cannot wait!

What is all this obsession about this aircraft being absolutely pristine as has been posted by somebody else(buying a brand new aircraft)? And why cannot we accept that PMDG does not bend to our rules, all these requests to add this, add that, bring this version and that version to the table? Why can't we bear in mind that PMDG will give us what they as RW aviators see fit to give us and be content with that?

Talk of the Oliver syndrome!

I know right, the NGX was perfect in my opinion, dust and markings just make the sim more realistic to fly, 100% clean cockpits are just unrealistic, they look like a simulator and have less character.

In my opinion, dirty it up even more!

And on top of that, the smudge stains get even more visible at certain angles of turn.   It gets hard to read instruments when the sun shines directly at either side in to the cockpit.

I hope the 777 inherits all these NGX variables including the window reflections.   That was also clearly visible in the PMDG 747.

Thanks for clearing that up. Fictional repaints it is then, and hopefully a Cathay 300ER paint!

Great! Thanks a lot to all of you at PMDG for all your hard and excellent work.  And for clearing up the fact that there will be a 200ER release at some point.
