April 2, 201313 yr OK officially solved Ran this bird thru every possible abuse I cold give it (like the NGX before it) and it passed.. ..finished off with LIMW to LSZS...all fine except decided against another silly descent landing so did my first divert to LOWI...INNSBRUCK! (ahhh memories of the 737 advanced tutorial...) ...adding WPs enroute i passed my final one before entering approach so had to add a direct to the STAR entry...then cut it short to save time...then of course ATC put me on 8 instead of the easy 26 RNAV approach...so once more added waypoint/another star....descent looked like an early mountain landing (done those FSX missions already) so pulled the altitude knob...YES of course it leveled off then back on approach with just the A/T to assist...sweet landing despite my heart rate at 150(!) ...marking this issue SOLVED now and once more a final thanks for all your patience...bizarre error for sure and I hope no one else gets it Now I have the sweet choice of 737 vs MD-11 on future flights...AFTER of course Ive done my world tour with the MD...the manual tour is OFF! RG Good to hear you have it sorted out. I've never had to touch unit of weights. Always been pounds for me. Fir sure if the weights are off and some in kg the plane will need to compensate somehow thus the erratic behavior. I still would do the AoA training. There is all kinds if stuff to do with this bird Includung manual entry dme arc approach. I could fly it b4 but after that I wasfairly proficient. Have fun! April 2, 201313 yr Author HT! I went to register at AoA and said user name taken...what? another sloppysmusic??! Then it dawned on me that Id registered months ago when I was new to the sim and wanted tutorials that didnt tell me "you seem to be distracted so Im ending the lesson" I was impressed back then and intended to take all their training from basics up so i could eradicate errors and bad habits i got into. Thanks for reminding me I will definitely sign up when i get paid although now I want do the 747 and 737 as well! oh and DME arcs yes please I did about 3 of those in the Lancair Legacy at KDAB (my home airport in real life) and felt so proud at the time but hand flying them in a heavy would be a new challenge I will certainly have fun....only just got up I couldnt sleep last night so continued my mountain world tour of sub 5000 ft strips with visual landings till i passed out 11am....NOT at the controls! April 2, 201313 yr Btw. do not use FSUIPC for axis processing, as it conflicts with the MD-11 flight controls as on the NGX. You don't need FSUIPC to assign axes - you can do that right in the FSX menus. Processing axes with FSUIPC is a no-no with the NGX anyway because we do our own processing. Jan-Paul

April 3, 201313 yr I use FSUIPC for assignments, but with the MD-11 for elevator and aileron I use the function in FSUIPC to "send to FS9 as normal axis". The aircraft doesnt handle well otherwise. Peter Peter Schluter
