The recent blizzard that came through denver got me thinking. Does anyone know of a program that simulates De-icing on the ramp? For example you pull up to the deicing pad and a truck pulls up and deices you. I feel like this would be a really cool addon! Thoughts anyone? :lol:

AES might.

 

Maybe GSX will add it in the future.

 

Some airports do. Sunskyjet PHL does, a the Canadian Simaddons airports too, YHZ anyway.

 

Check AES and look to se if FSDT is talking about it for GSX

I think Umberto as FSDT said the de-icers might make the next GSX update. Hopefully in time for winter when we will need them again, unless of course you fly in the southern hemisphere.

FS2Crew for the PMDG NGX simulates deicing procedures for the pilots, but I don't think there is any visual aspect.

AES has it for sure , but not every  airports

 

I have PANC and Helsinki  and i now for sure these 2 airports have them  you have to ask ATC to taxi you to the correct Place and then from there switch FRQ  and call them out ,, but there is special times when they work  According to bad weather

 

Not I have not tried it out yet Just Like every one els i get Busy  loading the Aircraft and by the time i am taxing to my RWY i remember  :(  ,,  But i did read it in the Manual  and how the procedure goes   when i first Purchased these 2 airports

AES has de-icing at the ramp.. Would be cool if they made it so you could request it when you wanted it instead..

AES needs certain settings to show the de-icing option: Season (hard winter) and weather (temperatures). With those conditions in mind it should work for every AES-equipped and AES-activated airport.

 

The AES manual is freely available just as the AES base pack (no obligation to buy AES credits). You can try out the whole AES (including de-icing) for free for an unlimited time at the "demo airport" Nuremberg (EDDN).

 

GSX will probably catch up with de-icing and I prefer GSX over AES but since you were asking ...

I have FSDTs LSZH Zurich and there are animated deicing trucks. Can't prove it with screenshots right now, though:0)

I don't think so, because the deicing isn't part of the GSX menu. It comes with the airport, but since it's the same developer I can imagine it'll be part of GSX at some point.

I hope thats the case because I would love to have that available at all the airports I visit rather than a select few
