October 4, 200421 yr I just downloaded and installed the BOAC Boeing 707-436 by George Carty, also noticed nearly 350 others have downloaded it too. The main question I guess should be, has anyone had trouble starting FS9 when this plane is selected? My FS9 shuts down very quickly without an error message when I try to start with this plane. The only way I can do it is by aliasing to another panel (in this case I'm using the 737-400 panel to test). Even if I start the sim with a different plane, as soon as I select this one using its own panel the sim shuts down almost immediately but in this case with an error message and the usual report to MS. I have tried commenting out almost every line in the panel.cfg and have come to the conclusion that my FS9 doesn't like one or more of the gauges that come with the panel. I'd really like to get this working right as what I've seen of it so far looks fantastic. Perhaps I should contact George Carty but I'd like to know first whether I am the only one who has the problem.
October 4, 200421 yr Thanks for your input. I think I'll wait a while longer to see if anyone else responds, then I will probably contact George Carty to see if he has a solution. It's strange because it surely must have worked on his system. Maybe there is a corrupted file in the download? Edit: I have just tested the zip file with Winzip and it said all OK.

October 4, 200421 yr Thanks Monty, I am just as interested to know if this plane works OK for anyone? Thinking it could be system specific if so.
October 4, 200421 yr Worked ok for me when I tried it last night. Not my cup of tea, so I didnt use it for too long though.Dan.
October 4, 200421 yr Thanks Dan, It must be system specific then. Do you run a high end system? I'm not sure that anything can be done if it works OK for you but I'll email George anyway to see what he can suggest.
October 4, 200421 yr Yeah, I have got a "high-end" system. When was it CTD'ing for you?I loaded the plane, a screen came up where the panel shoudl be, you then have to click either the left or the right, depending on whether you want the PIC or Co-pilot panel, and away you go.The only thing I did differently was to install the gauges in the aircrafts panel folder, not the main gauge folder.Dan.
October 4, 200421 yr Hi Dan, I just tried putting the gauges in the panel folder and it made no difference. I start FS and select the create a flight screen. Then I select the plane and click OK and FS9 immediately closes and disappears without any error message. I can only get the panel bitmaps to show if I disable the gauges.
October 4, 200421 yr i had the same problem, so i just deleted the panel and used the 2D cockpit i use for my HJG 707s
October 4, 200421 yr Foe now I've renamed the panel folder origpanel and installed an FS2002 panel by Helio Estrela found in the library here. Works fine but probably more basic than the original. I also found Paul Golding's panel for FS2002 and will try that too.
October 4, 200421 yr Same problem here, but I do get a consistant error message, the usual apology from FS, etc. The error appears to be in MSVCRT.dll and the same error appeared the 3 times that I tried it. I did try loading a default a/c to see if it would make a difference, it didn't.Maybe that will help.Ed GreenKCLThttp://www.panelshop.com/DEV.jpghttp://www.globecargo.org/images/VAA_Sen_captain.jpg
October 5, 200421 yr Same problem here also. I select the plane and FS9 becomes non responsive and the screen freezes and the hard drive kicks into overdrive like its searching for a file. I sent George an EMAIL but havent had a response yet. Glad to see Im not the only one having this problem. I was worried that it was my system but it appears to be a problem with the package.Don
October 5, 200421 yr The error references MSVCRT.DLL, which is the Visual C RunTables.dll so I guess maybe the language or the .dll file used for the creation of one or more of the gauges was different language from all of us users who can't load it?
