Yeah Chris, looks pretty good, a freeware version of the Lago scenery creator.I had Dl'd it, but have not installed it yet, how does it compare to Lago FSE?, couldnt be worse I guess ;)Dan.

Hi just downloaded and tried it first class much simpler than payware progam thanks for the headsup John

So its possible to add custom objects?, how are they added?Dan.

Dear Dan,You can add your own objects (assuming you can create them with gMax) using a simple XML format listing those objects and providing their image to help the user identify what they are about to place.Israel

>Dear Dan,>You can add your own objects (assuming you can create them>with gMax) using a simple XML format listing those objects and>providing their image to help the user identify what they are>about to place.>Israel>In other words, it IS what FSE is NOT! Far's I'm concerned Lago's FSE is going in the garbage. I was never so disappointed with a program in all my life. I thought I would be able to spruce up an airport and then give it to my friends. Sure I can, but first they have to BUY FSE also. (Picture me with a bad taste in my mouth!)

A caution upon setup if your FS9 is on a drive/partition other than "C": although you have the option of changing the drive or partition when assigning where the files should go, it creates and places the Static Object Library files on "CProgram FilesMicrosoft GamesFS9" despite your wishes. It then becomes necessary for you to remove them from here and copy to the applicable FS Add-on Scenery Folder; otherwise nothing displays within FS.Please note: this only applies if you have FS9 on a drive/partition _other_ than "C:".

Hopefully this will be supported and small problems like that fixed. If there could be a huge library of objects created by others, this will be a great program. I am looking forward to trying it out tonight. Since Lago never supported FSE with allowing additional objects to be shared, this seems a much better alternative and it is free, can't beat that.

I gotta step in a send my kudos to the development team- excellent piece of freeware you have made for us!

>>Please note: this only applies if you have FS9 on a>drive/partition _other_ than "C:".Actually it applies if you have FS9 installed anywhere but Program Files/Microsoft Games/Flight Simulator. So even if you have it installed in C:FS9 you will have this problem, at least I did.Minor inconvience.Matt

Looks like you just load the XML, delete the item and recompile the BGL. Probably good idea for people to include the XML file when distributing the BGLs.Although might get complicated if there was 20 or 30 lightpoles and you just wanted to delete one of them.By the way, I run the PAI AFCAD department and I'm already thinking about expanding our mission to include not only AFCADs, but also enhancements made with Object Placer. They seem like they would be a good fit for each other and we already have the infrastructure in place to track and distribute them. If anyone is interested in this, reply to this thread over at PAI or shoot me an email to [email protected].http://www.flightsimmer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25754Matt Fox

Is it possible to save the bgl directly to a folder on another drive? -I have a default FS9 install (C:/prog files/ms games/fs9 etc) but all my addon scenery lives in D:/fs scenery/xxxxx. I would want to run any addons from there.Just about to d/l the progDave

I agree 100%! A GUI that places scenery without having to be a scenery guru! This is a very exciting find. I hope that the library will soon be full of objects that can be implemented. Great job Dev Team! :>
