October 25, 200421 yr Sounds great. Does anyone have any idea how it affects fps? I have FSE and it doesn't affect FPS too much.I just downloaded it and will give it a try.
October 25, 200421 yr Guys,Thank you all for the kind words. We are aware of the issue now with installation of the FS other than the default location. The tool we used to make the installer was supposed to take care of that. We are checking why it won't install the scenery library to a different location. Can't make any commitments on level of support as we have real life obligations, but we will try to keep you happy. For the person asking on saving the BGL to a different location - use the "Save As..." menu option to save the XML file to a location of your choice and then when you select "Generate Scenery" the BGL will be created next to it.It is possible to modify the XML file via the GUI - use the Open option to open the XML file, then you can select an object from the list, modify its parameters and click the Mod button. You can also select an object and click the Del button to remove it.Have fun!Israel Roth
October 25, 200421 yr The program looks great but I haven't been able to get it to work correctly yet. I went to my home airport, entered slew mode, and placed three objects, a fuel station, a fast food restaurant, and a warehouse. I saved the file at directed, and generated a .bgl file which shows up in the specified directory C:program filesmicrosoft gamesfs9addon scenerystatic object libraryscenery but when I restart FS9 and return to the airport, none of the objects appear.Am I missing something? This program has a tremendous amount of potential and seems much easier to use than Lago's FSE demo.ThanksJim
October 25, 200421 yr Commercial Member Hi Jim, I put the bgl in my Flight Simulator 9Addon ScenerysceneryThanksChris Willis[link:fsw.simflight.com/FSWMenuFsSim.html]Clouds And Addons For MsFs Kind RegardsChris Willis
October 26, 200421 yr it appears to be fantastic freeware, even though I am unable to get it to work on my system, kudos to the developers.it is much appreciated by the communityyou would not happen to know if there is an equal product for removing autogen trees/buildings? my local airport is covered with them :-) CPU: Core i5-6600K 4 core (3.5GHz) - overclock to 4.3 | RAM: (1066 MHz) 16GB MOBO: ASUS Z170 Pro | GeForce GTX 1070 8GB | MONITOR: 2560 X 1440 2K
October 26, 200421 yr I've got my local airport in pretty good shape. Added the two hangars that are missing from FS9, added fuel pumps in correct location, added the restaurant, and the beacon. Still need to tweak one of the hangars just a little. Now I just need to find a way to get rid of that big chicken that's part of the restaurant! :)Thanks very much for this program, guys. It's great.Jim
October 26, 200421 yr >you would not happen to know if there is an equal product for>removing autogen trees/buildings?Sure, Mike. There's info in this tutorial post on how to exclude visual objects from FS. Wsieffert also makes valid recommendations a little further down the thread of similar tools. However, you may be experiencing a landclass issue, as autogen trees and buildings should not be placed in the grassy areas that MS usually places around its default airports/runways. I'm sure the kind folks in the Avsim Scenery Design Forum could get you on the right track with the right tools.Hope this helps,Kevin
October 26, 200421 yr Absolutely brilliant piece of Software- works beautifully.Just as a first experiment I added some objects to RNAS Culdrose (UK) - saved the xml to my D:/fsscenery/rw12mods/scenery folder- created the bgl which as said above automatically saved to the same place-sure enough when I started FS9 - the objects (good looking ones too) were there. Thanks a million.Dave
October 26, 200421 yr A big thanks to the authors for a very good tool. Not quite FSE for ease of use or features but given that FSE cannot place fs2004 type objects it makes a good compliment.I have not yet been able to get the tool to generate scenery, I get the error "unable to create BGL file" when running bglcomp. But I will persist...
October 26, 200421 yr Chris Willis thanks to you for bringing this product to our attention but I am afraid I cannot get it to work. When I create the scenery I have tried sending the HMTL and the BGL file to FS9/addons scenery/scenery and also to FS/addons scenery/static objects scenery and with both the files appear and the HMTL file shows I am at the right location but the object does not appear when I restart FS.Can tell me where I am going wrong please.I rely on you for a lot of information.
October 26, 200421 yr This seems an obvious reply, but do you have activated in FS9 the folders you are referring to?I have placed a couple of object.bgl files in C:...Flight Simulator 9Addon SceneryStatic Objects Libraryscenery and the objects are regularly showing up also after restarting FS9regards
October 26, 200421 yr Gentlemen / Ladies, The program can, and is creating objects for placements within fs 2004 as designed.Thanking you,Best regards,Aftab. AFTAB HINGORO
