Got my ch throttle quadrant today

PhotonGo into Controls/Sensitivities and adjust the 6 axis' for the TQ. When I installed mine I found Mixture2 did not function in the aircraft till I adjusted it. Then recalibrate in FSUIPC if you're using the reg'd version. Use the Map Wizard in the CHCM to reassign the axis' (answer no to the questions at the start).

Thanx Deeks that did the trick.

that setup sure looks ok, what about the goflight Stuff? they seem to have a nice throttle quadrant.

Thanks, I tried this. I found it did not work because moving the lever causes the spoiler to extend but not retract and it gets hung up on the spoiler arm detent. Minor movement of the lever also causes the actual spoiler on the sim to wiggle up and down. Calibrating did not help. Now I do not have a full registered version of FSUIPC,so I do not use it to calibrate. I am using the one that came with PSS. maybe that is the problem? Thanks,Greg

Hi Avcomware,Have you, by chance, ever used the Saitek X45 Throttle/Stick Combo? I received a present of one, but have not installed it yet because the travel in both throttle and stick seems quite stiff compared to the MS Sidewinder Pro, which uses infrared technology. Maybe that's just because it's new?I guess I should just install it, huh? :-)BR,Frank

I would respectfully suggest that you give CMFS by Bob Church a try in mapping all of your CH products. It greatly expands and simplifies the mapping and functions once you figure out how to implement it. (Freeware).I assume it will work with the throttle as well as the other products. You should be able to get info from:[email protected] a start.Happy flying:RTH

Hi.Yes I have. I found it stiff also, and hard on the hand after a while. That is one of the reasons I use the MS Prec Pro. The Throttle I liked, because I tend to keep a stiff feel in real life also, you don't want it to vibrate off your setting. There are fewer movements with the throttle also. I use "SpeechBuddy2" with the MS and CH Pro pedals combo, that gives me all the control I need without touching the keyboard or mouse. TV

Tv-so far the flight model I find the most credible on the two engine procedures is the Dreamfleet C-310. None of the twin flight models (like all flight models) are perfect of course-a missing ingredient perhaps in the sim itself are air starts-and I haven't found the Vmc demo convincing-on the other hand failing an engine esp. on the 310 I find pretty good.I know it is "eye candy" but I find myself "shudder" :-lol using the 3d cockpit view for shutting down and securing an engine. Watching the engine sputter to a stop ,feathering the prop and seeing it happen is just cool!http://mywebpages.comcast.net/geofa/pages/rxp-pilot.jpg

WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!

Is there any comparison between CH TQ and Goflight's TQ? Certainly Goflight's more expensive because of all metal. But I'd like to know if the extra $$$ is justified. I will probably buy either one for this Xmas.

I would think that would depend on your needs and uses.I needed one that I could easily reconfigure on whether I fly my Baron which has the throttles in the middle-or a standard twin that has the standard config. I also wanted a GA type controller. Therefore the Ch met these needs, and is fairly cheaply priced..http://mywebpages.comcast.net/geofa/pages/rxp-pilot.jpg

Ciao!

I don't use the ch manager-in fact it seemed to muck up my system.Just make sure you assign each unit in fs seperately-I'd clear everything from your old settings first.http://mywebpages.comcast.net/geofa/pages/rxp-pilot.jpg
