Duplicate clouds

Featured Replies

This issue with duplicate cirrus layers has been around for years.  There is no fix, it's a core FSX bug relating to weather stations being "injected."

I have exactly the same repetition of cloud problem.

Kind regards,

We think we have discovered the problem in FSX which causes this problem and we believe we know a possible cure, we will release it in the next beta.

The latest beta should minimise the chances of this happening but is is another FSX anomaly which I doubt can be prevented completely. One possible recovery would be to open our Weather Preferences dialog and disable the cirrus cloud then update or refresh the weather, you can then either leave cirrus disabled or just renewable it or set the Auto Cirrus option and refresh the weather again.

I'll test this later Stephen. I'm pleased that I'm not the only person experiencing this anomoly.

Have followed your suggestion Stephen but still experience exactly the same issue...

I have never seen or experienced it. Strange, you would think it would affect everyone.

Chances are it happens on your system (assuming you use real world weather) but you just don't notice it. Often times it's not horribly out of place unless you are specifically looking for it.

Never seen this. Maybe a FSUIPC weather setting incorrect?

It a very rare FSX anomaly, all Opus users should have all FSUIPC4 weather options turned off of course.

I was seeing it before I ever had FSUIPC.

I did not see this even with AS. Keeping a eye on this thread now.

Well the important thing is, if you never noticed it, why worry about it? One less thing FSX can annoy you with :)
