I'll wait for OR!!

I have to digress.  I returned Trackir for refund.  It was so damn hard to set up and after I did get it set up I experienced a crash to my Windows 7 operating system and had to do an entire reinstall to factory settings. I doubt Trackir caused this but psychologically a restore to factory and total reinstall is now associated in my mind with Trackir and I won't go there again.  Trackir was cool but it was a little disorienting and I prefer EZCA.

You do need strong nerves, but it's not just ezca or tir. Fsx is the first PITA and most major one when you get in this hobby... tbh, same for most sims as these are complex software we're dealing with.

Is this hard to set up? Is there any performance loss? Stutters, FPS hit? I don't want to purchase something that will screw up my "perfect" setup.

It's not hard, but the learning curve is between one week and two weeks until you get it fine tuned to your setup.

Well, in all honesty, I got mine setup in less than an hour. It took some time to figure everything out but it certainly didn't take a week! I installed it, tried a few presets, figured out how to get the Trackclip Pro working well (you have to select it because the software defaults to the other system with stickers) and that was it, really. I never tuned or tweaked settings apart from the smooth option (or whatever it is called: can't check it right now, which I have all the way to the right). For curves etc. I've been using a preset from day one. It took 15 minutes to get used to looking around and from then FSX was better than it ever was. ^_^

Anyway, you have to figure a few things out but a learning curve of a week seems a bit (understatement ^_^ ) much.

I included the time taken to set it up in ezca as well.. like for each aircraft.

I gave it a week of good use... Mainly to get the feeling right and curves etc...

After using it for a few years I think I get minor motion sickness (but it may just be sleep deprivation due to new baby hehe)

Must be the baby indeed. ^_^ I noticed over the last few years that fast games (like racing) are beginning to give me problems (a specific kind of migraine): luckily FSX with TrackIR gives me no problems at ALL. I don't mind not playing other games anymore but I would mind not playing FSX anymore! Luckily it's a very relaxing game. ^_^
