I installed PMDG 737 NGX 800/900 on my operating system windows 8, suddenly fsx crash, does not work for 3d panel controls of the plane, I have no idea how he can do to solve the problem, at this point I would not be compatible with W8.

try to reinstall it. that solved it on my pc. good luck

The problem is that when starting the simulation I can not interact with the 3D panel, and close FSX crashes, I'll try to reinstall, none of the community uses W8 with this type of aircraft.

This is precisely why we aren't supporting Windows 8. For some people it works great, for others there's crazy problems like this. It's very dependent on your exact hardware/drivers etc. If you want guaranteed compatibility and good performance, go back to Windows 7 64-bit.

I fly NGX in Windows 8 x64 without any problem. Try to reinstall

You may want to make sure that windows defender is turned off for any directories that FSX is using, for permissions its easier to install outside of the default Program files directory etc.

You are running as an administrator? Is this only with PMDG Aircraft?

 

Even still though, Ryan is right, and it is not limited to PMDG aircraft. Windows 8 is not a gaming platform, Windows 7 is more suitable for it. It's designed for mobility (that is why MS only advertises tablets, not laptops). If you can, go back to Windows 7. It's just a matter of luck to get it working with 8.

I run FSX with Windows 8 in admin mode. NGX runs fine. I have however as mentioned above have disabled Windows Defender (My Anti virus did) and I don't have any issues. Are you running full screen or windowed mode? Try both and test.

the problem turns out to be only with PMDG, uninstalled it works great, I use fsx as an administrator, I'll try to disable windows defender, and 'a pity it is not configuarato for windows 8 as in this system works fine without ever fsx crash

I had all the issues mentioned under Windows 8.  I went back to Windows 7 and now I can fly endlessly with no issues.  I can only speak for myself, but do NOT upgrade to Windows 8 if everything in your FSX is working as it should under 7.

Same here, on previous HP laptop zero issues with win 8 and fsx, and zero issues now on new asus g750
