September 7, 201312 yr Try comparing it at 6000ft not 35000. You are aware that FTX isn't photoreal? If your looking for photoreal then you have bought the wrong product. The textures are plausible like everything landclass based.... I would reccomend Megascenery for you instead, might fit you better. I was just trying to help resolve your issue... Before the patch everything was green and now it looks more correct colours, what more is it you want?

Before the patch everything was green and now it looks more correct colours, what more is it you want? Yes I know exactly what it is. But when you release a product and claim that is better than the original (FTXG to Default FSX) you should expect something. Since you like photos from 35000 feet try this. In the patch there is now a new LC in your library, compare off and on..do you ereally see any difference? Quit trying to convince yourself something is better when it isn't. Have you ever been to AZ?
September 7, 201312 yr What I see is that the right shoot looks alot better than the left. If you can't see that then Im sorry. Have you ever been to AZ? Nope, have you ever been in Norway? But when you release a product and claim that is better than the original (FTXG to Default FSX) you should expect something. Are you saying that you think the default textures look as good as FTX Global textures? FTX Global is a texture replacement and not a landclass product. Has never been advertised as something more either. So consider yourself lucky that they even bothered fixing some landclass in this area...
September 7, 201312 yr meh I feel like Global + landclass does as good a job as can be expected for a generic landclass texturing system. But as is the case with any generic default replacement product, a specialized hand-created replacement (like a full FTX region) is the only way to get it done right.
September 7, 201312 yr What I see is that the right shoot looks alot better than the left. If you can't see that then Im sorry. Nope, have you ever been in Norway? LOL the right shot is the before pic with the LC turned OFF. The left is supposed to be the new and improved ..lol no haven't been to Norway..is that the topic of discussion here?
September 7, 201312 yr no haven't been to Norway..is that the topic of discussion here? You asked me if I had been to Arizona, and I answered, so I ask have you been to Norway..... Just making conversation  LOL the right shot is the before pic with the LC turned OFF. The left is supposed to be the new and improved ..lol I said it wrong, what i ment was offcourse the oposite, you can clearly see that the left side is more detailed... Im dyslectic and often mix left and right.. meh I feel like Global + landclass does as good a job as can be expected for a generic landclass texturing system. But as is the case with any generic default replacement product, a specialized hand-created replacement (like a full FTX region) is the only way to get it done right. Totally agree. I have UTX for USA and using it with Global, and if i put up a shoot of it right to the ones JJose just posted it would be hard to tell the difference. The New landclass that came with the patch is just as detailed as UTX. But far far away from a full fledged Orbx region..
September 7, 201312 yr Mega Scenery Earth V2 is your ultimate solution. Believe it or not. Zicheng Cai
September 7, 201312 yr Mega Scenery Earth V2 is your ultimate solution. Believe it or not. Does it have autogen? If it has, then I would be intrested..
September 7, 201312 yr Disagree, as an example Sedona AZ was red in FSX default but even after the FTXG patch most of AZ still looks terrible. Really? Wow...I had, after the patch a much different opinion-experience. Flying out of Tuscon, heading for Chicago at FL210 was the most life-like yet, with desert scrub, pastels, mountain vistas, etc. I am using the latest version of UTX to direct things. Before the patch, it was baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad, but post patch, most invitingly flyable. I can't wait for a true 'dedicated' OpenLC landclass to write to Arizona and the tri-state area. Each to their own horsepower, as always.
September 7, 201312 yr I think if you can say 80/20 for a generic product then IMO its acceptable, 80% end of the day this is a $200 product because really without the land class its just a band aid solution ZORAN
September 7, 201312 yr Author Wow my thread has turned into a bit of a venting topic! To add my £0.02 (I'm from England ^_^ ) I'm very happy with Global for what it is, i.e. worldwide texture replacement. Before, I had add on airports in multiple countries that I didn't like using, because the default/GEX textures looked awful in comparison to my ORBX England/Australia products, so found myself just flying within those two regions - now I can go all over with similar quality, so am very happy!
