November 16, 200421 yr It's not often that I drool on my keyboard, but FSW's newest creation for the community has left me stunned. This is no quickly assembled package... everything about it shows great attention to detail and a wonderful effort at "trying to cover all the possibilties". After a quick couple of flights and testing just a handful of the many options in FS Sky World 2004 let this simple fact stand...Anybody who enjoys this sim must have this addon. Thanks Chris for such an incredible amount of effort and thought on our behalf. Your efforts on this addon will no doubt be a landmark moment in this hobby.Kudos,Greg
November 17, 200421 yr I couldn't have said it any better!Once again, it's absolutely stunning!Thank you very much Chris, for all the hard work, skill and love that so clearly went into those wonderful clouds! With the highest regards,Martijn
November 17, 200421 yr I agree, tried a few... there is a LOT of material there to decide upon. There is probably a cloud texture there that will please just about everyone.Question Chris if you are reading this... I see if you have the option to select "Default FS2004 set 1". Is this the default textures taken directly from the FS disk or is this a "snapshot" backup of our current Texture folder?I ask this as I already have (like I assume many others), customized my textures before I installed your program. Thus if I want to return back to my own preferences (not the FS2004 default), would your default selection achieve this? Does your default selection just apply to Cumulus clouds or to all textures (sky, sun, moon, etc.)?I did make a backup of my complete Texture folder just in case before I installed just to be on the safe side.thx
November 17, 200421 yr Does this conflict with ActiveSky? I want to use it but fear it would'nt work with ActiveSky together.
November 17, 200421 yr According to the manual it is designed to operate with Active Sky 2004.Rgds, Sam
November 17, 200421 yr Hi pony,1. From the FS disk.2. No, from a save as you have done.3. Just Cumulus clouds.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg

November 17, 200421 yr Well, folks, it just gets better! Also in the Avsim Library is a second file from FSW offering more framerate friendly cloud options. Both 32 bit (w/2 different size .bmp choices) and DXT (w/ 3 different .bmp choices) are now available http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=56587There's something for everyone :-) Greg
November 17, 200421 yr Just jaw-droppingly gorgeous...superb work.http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...id=173106&page=
November 17, 200421 yr Yeah this release is just superb. Well done!! I am thrilled with the seemingly endless choices and compatability with my system (ie Render to Texture = OFF!!) in addition to the ability to choose those lower rez textures. You have an excellent eye for color. A great addon for FS9 and a definite must-have. I would venture to say this is the best freeware add-on out there to date! If it isn't let me know so I can go download it YESTERDAY!!!!Thanks!Josh
