It has been able to spin since day one. Done many times here.

I still personally find the touchdown speed too low even with 2 passengers, some luggage and full fuel. If I hold the flare and touch down as the stall horn sounds I'm getting on the ground at about 40kts.  Isn't that a bit slow for a 172?

edit:  After some reading and research that seems spot on, the stall horn obviously should sound at stall speed which is around that speed at touchdown, so yeah.. Sometimes I should keep my mouth shut and refer to the people who actually have hours in a 172, lol.

You should be able to release rudder, and spin rotation continues, I dont find this to be the case.

It has always been my opinion that FSX never did model ground effects well anyway.

To anyone who cannot get the Accu-Sim C172 to spin:

Check your REALISM settings (from the main UI, go to SETTINGS / REALISM).  Some have reported these sliders to be reset for odd reasons.  Make sure in the FLIGHT MODEL section, all sliders are full right to REALISTIC.

Scott.

Yes, that is correct. It addresses the sticking brake issue. It works fine for me now.

The update is at the same URL I previously posted: http://a2asimulations.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=108&t=36472

There is also a small program that looks at the state of the brakes at this same URL. It shows if the brakes have released or not.
