I'm giving this one a miss as in the 327.23 notes it says:-

 

Flight Simulator X–pressing Alt+Tab to switch to the desktop does not work. [293729]

 

Can anyone confirm this or does it work for them using this driver?

 

I had no idea that pressing those keys did this but they do as they should in Windows 8, at least.

Pity when I finally landed at EGCC, descending from a moderately heavy ORBX weather, the APP switch did not pick up the ILS glide slope at Rwy 23R and I was at the correct ALT, so had to hand-land.

:lol:  hmmm that last one sounds suspiciously like drinking too many coffees before using a mouse to set the ILS frequency.... especially if using EZCA ....

No, not drinking too many cups of coffee. The ILS frequency was showing..............and I've not got around to purchasing that EZDOK as yet. Now, oddly enough, I have the same ILS issue when coming around the other end Rwy 5L and using Aivlasoft's EFB which reports an issue with the Approach. Same, problem, no G/S and hand-land.

Have you looked at the airport with (free) Airport Design Editor9x? This will open up the airport bgl and show what the actual ILS system looks like. You can get ADE from the FS Developer website at

Hmmmph.. I did a night ILS into there about a year ago without issue, other than having to go around for a second shot. What aircraft?

 

Actually (editing this post now) ADE is showing 06L/

 

 

06R G/S 111.55 LOC 111.55  (Note - G/S shld be a diff. freq. to the LOC)

06L G/S 109.5   LOC 109.5                          "

 

24R G/S109.5  LOC 109.5                            "

 

It doesn't show a 24L ILS service.

 

6L (05L?) and 24R are both there ok...  hmmmph

Yes, EFB reports the same that the database shows 6L +^R when in fact it is in real life 5L+5R.

 

Was flying that Emirates T7 into 24R. Having flown a good few ILS approaches, I'm aware, thanks Paul, that the LOC and ILS frequencies are different. Nevertheless, I appreciate the h/u.

 

Will try this again at some later stage as I need to upgrade the free UK2000 airport there.

Well if I am still able to Alt-Tab then can anyone tell me if these drivers are better in FSX than my current 314.22 that I am currently using in my MSI GT700NE Laptop which has a 4GB 680M GPU.

I've had a few problems recently, and would like to know if there is a consensus on "best" curent GF drivers for FSX/DX10?

 

My current card is a GTX 680 Classified.
