But beyond this, there is nothing specifically mentioned on: how one obtains an update how one goes about applying an update how purchasers will (or can) be notified on the availability of updates Sorry about not being able to read between the lines in the mentioned topic (and not dredging through all the other topics), but I'd like to know "the absolute truth" for the above bullet-ed items. October 7, 201312 yr SteveFSX has announced a DX10 fixer update end of this week. I strongly hope, that a detailed update procedure will be included there. Wulf
October 8, 201312 yr 1: Download the latest build from the FSS store...go to "My Account" 2: Open your current version of the "Fixer" and select "uninstall libraries" 3: Go to Windows Control Panel and "Programs & Features" and select DX10 Fixer and uninstall 3a: Reboot computer 4: Select the latest version you just downloaded and "Run as Admin" 5:Reboot Computer 6: Right click the Fixer icon that should be residing on your desktop, and select advanced, tick the box "Run as Admin" 7: Reinstall the libraries in the fixer and check your other options. 8: Run FSX and make sure all is good. The latest build #19 included a fix for the Dawn & Dusk issue System: MSFS2024, ASUS Rog Stryx Z790-A, Intel i9-14900KF, Asus ROG Ryujin III 360 , Asus Hyperion Case,Rog Stryx 4090 OC, Samsung 970 EVO M.2 SSD, 1Tb Samsung 860 EVO SSD,64Gb G Skill Memory, Asus Aura 1200W Gold PSU,Win 11 ,LG C4 48" 4K OLED Screen., Airbus TCA Full Kit, Stream Deck XL. I've never seen FSX look and perform so well: the "unofficial official FSX SP3" IMO. October 26, 201312 yr Commercial Member Probably be another week! I had a version more or less ready with improved shadows but subsequently I started to try and find workarounds for AI lighting and legacy airport lighting which has led to a delay. My FSX Analysis Blog
