October 18, 201312 yr I liked the improvements and desperately waiting for the skymaxxx addon coming soon. I hate flying XP10 with the visibility/fog bug and skymaxxx will fix this problem.
October 18, 201312 yr I hate flying XP10 with the visibility/fog bug and skymaxxx will fix this problem That "bug" is a limitation of X-Plane itself, skymaxx doesn't fix this. That is all on Ben Supnik to fix, fortunately he said this is one of the things he'd like to fix in 10.30. As for the improvements ... the new textures do look better
October 18, 201312 yr I didn't notice a big difference in my region, but I'm sure it looks better in many places around the World :-) Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

October 18, 201312 yr The sudden grey out condition when flying through cloud layers to be exact..... yes that, will skymaxxx get rid of that? :Praying:
October 19, 201312 yr I was talking about draw distance related fog which is a little different (I always fly with clouds turned off, so didn't realize we were talking about two very different things). Anyways 10.30 will hopefully be a game changer for X-plane.
October 19, 201312 yr I'm somewhat pleased to see my two airports and two heliports have made it in. This is the way to get your work out to everyone. If you upload to avsim, or the org - only those who download can enjoy it. Send it to x-plane and now *every*last*x-plane*user* can enjoy it! I do like the way I can now see cities from high up now. That's a big improvement.

October 19, 201312 yr I have to find the time to start contributing, instead of spending sometimes useless time discussing torque et al.... Didn't I say in a recent post (wasn't aimed at you, but generally speaking) "... less discussing ...", but instead more flying and/or contributing? Might be a good idea for many   +1 My sceneries (excerpt): LPMA Madeira (XPFR), LGSR Santorini, LRBV Brasov, the city of Fürth (Germany), several libraries, ...
October 19, 201312 yr I tend to spend a lot of time and energy in my life with things that really aren't that important after all :-/ Building scenery is something I did long ago with SCASM, when Manfred was devleoping it ... I don't know nothing about WED, only used it once in XP10 to exclude the motorways that appear where two emblematic Lisbon bridges are in RL, but really think I would love to see a better-looking ( not naked ) LPPT, and other airfields around here ... I really have to give it a try! October 20, 201312 yr I reduced my number of OpenStreetMap edits since 2 weeks. I can't remember why. Now, what do I think about 10.25 Beta 1 ? I have a new wish: I want 2 "texture resolution drop-down boxes" in the rendering options. The first for my plane, the second for the landscapes, sceneries, AI planes, etc... I don't need HD grass. I don't need HD gravel. I don't need HD dirt. For this, I'm OK with the lowest resolution. But I want a cockpit with a decent resolution. No ugly textures where it's hard to read the instruments. Each new X-Plane version brings new textures, new art assets, textures with higher resolutions. I already had to compress textures to VRAM and select a lower resolution. But I don't want to reduce my cockpit resolution again because new building and hangar and grass textures need all my VRAM. First (and easy) solution: buying a new graphic board with more VRAM, but I think this is way too expensive for the Planet. My board can last a few more months or years. Second solution: batch resize most dds textures inside Resources/default scenery. I started to do this, but I can't imagine searching for new textures during each release. Third solution: a new setting for the plane texture resolution instead of a global setting for the planes and sceneries. Austin, Ben, is this possible ? Actually, more recent planes should have high resolution textures for instruments in the cockpit even when the general texture resolution is low. However, many older planes were not updated accordingly. Mario Donick .:. vFlyteAir
