No, but My father in Law did give me Jimmy Carter's biography and I am reading a bit of it here and there. Interesting viewpoints on the hostage crises, Iran, etc... AVSim usually announces major payware releases. Yes, it's free advertising but it happens all the time IRL...Isn't FSAddon somehow affiliated with another flightsim site?Another theory is that the developer simply didn't send a press-release :)

Satisfied?There's a NEWS item about Flight1 releasing a patch for their 172. Did they pay for that headline or is Avsim just informing their readers about the release?Perhaps this is the only website Victor goes to for his FS news, and he realized that if Avsim didn't post a news item about a new product that covers 22,000 square miles in brand new mesh, landclass, ground textures, 17 cabins, a Georender like bush location, and completely redone shorelines then what other news is he missing out on.Seems like an OK question to me...

Avsim Towers, heh? Well, that tells me more than I want to know about your attitude toward us. But, to answer your questions;If an author has his own site and sells through a competitor site, we'll post a news article linking back TO HIS SITE, not the competitor's site. If he has no site of his own and only is listed on the competitor's site and store, we won't. Why give free advertising which solely benefits a competitor's site? Second, if we don't received a press release, then there is a pretty good chance our editors won't wander upon it, especially if it is located on a competitive site.Third, we don't charge for printing news on the front page (unlike some other sites). We also don't charge for maintaining a "position" on the front page (like another site does).Finally, whether something is news or not is determined by us. Free advertising is not necessarily news.Now I am going to lock this thread.
