November 7, 201312 yr Author Well, I really look fwd ro be able to try it - but only during the weekend :-( Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
November 8, 201312 yr Author Well guys, just a thumbs up after a series of short flights around LPPT, under various weather conditions. I'm not a bus expert, but I have used all buses available for FSX, including the initial Phoenix models, up to the recent AXE. I can tell you I have never felt a more plausible sensation of flying an Airbus ( having for comparison 1hr full flight sim session at TAP's headquarters, in an A320 setting ) like this NEO gave me. Is it perfect? Certainly not - and for the time being I only flew manual approaches, but the feel of the FBW, the speed / AoA protection, the pitch and bank limiting, and the overall feel of handflying this model was great! The graphics are very good too! I LIKES IT A LOT!!!!! :-) Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
November 8, 201312 yr I was tempted to get this plane, but the FAQ says that if you want to activate it you need to run XP 32 bit only. At least that's how I interpret the following sentence that asks you to check 1. You use X-Plane 10 (32 bit only). No beta, please ...when the purchase page says both 32/64 bits when you buy this aircraft, you will get a link to download distributive and a you own serial number*** to activate aircraft in your X-Plane 10 (both 32/64 bit). Are you folks able to run it in XP 64bits? Also it looks like the activation code is locked to your hardware and OS. I live part of the year in my home country where I sim on a desktop and the other part in Spain where I sim on a notebook. Which means I would need to purchase two copies if I want to use this plane on one or the other computer. Jean-Jacques Jean-Jacques Struyf between EBBR and EBCI
November 8, 201312 yr Author Had no problem activating it in my W7 64 bit + XP10 64 bit - it's actually a long long time since I last fired up XP10 32 bit... I don't know about the HW restrictions of the license though. For me, and since I use XP10 at a single, desktop PC, there is no problem, but I can understand your point. Have you tried to contact JarDesign ? November 8, 201312 yr Thanks jcom. That's good news! I will contact JarDesign about the hardware limitation, which could also be a serious limitation if one buys a new computer or makes a move from Win7 to Win8 for example. Jean-Jacques Jean-Jacques Struyf between EBBR and EBCI
November 8, 201312 yr Author I will contact JarDesign about the hardware limitation, which could also be a serious limitation if one buys a new computer or makes a move from Win7 to Win8 for example. Jean-Jacques, I'm almost sure they'll reset the key for you when required. I had similar problems with the activation of the FF WL 777, but everything was always solved after emailling their support. I hope you get this sorted out, and I hope you find this version ( 1.5 ) better than what you found before. I am enjoying it very much :-), but then again, I'm not an Airbus expert.... and certainly even less a NEO expert :-) Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
November 8, 201312 yr When the JARDesign A320 was first released, it was only for 32 bit, but it has since been patched to work just fine in 64 bit. I'm guessing that's just some legacy page copy they should probably edit and bring up to date. Flex, Version 2.0 is being tested by the JarDesign team at the moment. This will be a free upgrade to registered users (buyers). Here’s an list of the improvements: - Camera Shake effect - Hold (Computed Hold) function add to FMGS - Full custom PFD - ISIS (electronic standby at front panel) - Full custom Autopilot - DCDU at front panel (show metar info for DEP and ARR airports) - Dynamic Rain effect (FPS friendly) at cockpit windows - FollowMe car will be integrated into distributive pack.
November 9, 201312 yr Jean-Jacques, I'm almost sure they'll reset the key for you when required. I got an answer from Eugeny Romanov who tells me that generally he sees no problem if a user installs it on two computers and that there is also no problem in case of hardware or software upgrade. So all is well for me. Jean-Jacques Jean-Jacques Struyf between EBBR and EBCI
November 9, 201312 yr Author Well, this add-on is about to turn into my preferred X-Plane aircraft! Have already completed a few complete flights, testing the various aspects of the simulation, and I am finding it a real charm to fly, either through the FMGC or by hand. Completed a couple of perfect ( almost perfect ) autolands, and all I can say is that looking at the features already announced for v2, which will be free for v1 registered users, this has the potential to become on of the best airliners available for X-Plane 10 so far! November 9, 201312 yr Now I regret not to get this baby when it was on sale about a month ago. Black Friday is coming up. Although I am not sure if the Org store participates in Black Friday sale. I have been using FSX for a while, but lately I found my tolerance for stutter on approach is wearing thin... Vu Pham i7-13700K 5.2 GHz OC, 64 GB RAM, RTX5090, SSD for Sim, SSD for system.
