A2A c172 vs Realair duke v2

Featured Replies

I'm trying to decide which plane to get the A2A c172 vs the realair duke v2. I have bigger pmdg jets and I have the majestic dash 8. I also have the realair legacy. I'm looking for a plane for short hops that I can sharpen my skills with. Which of the two would be the best fit?

You already know the answer to that. <_<

You know upon reflection I guess I do.

A2A 172 is a MUST HAVE add on as far as I am concerned for FSX just like the NGX, Q400, and the Legacy.

The 172 will be completely different than your other planes.

Nice and slow, good for learning flight basics, awesome A2a accusim.

Great for taking in good FSX scenery as you pour over sectional charts!

A2a really did and awesome job!! Get it!

Personally I would still consider the Duke V2 also, it looks awesome, but get the c172 first!

Downloading the c172 now.

Yeah the A2A is good, but the elevator issue on some setups makes this addon slip from my top used planes.

Happy Flying!

Future food for thought, the C172 is a good basic trainer, it's got a lot of gadgets in it the make an ordinary trainer extraordinary.

However, the duke is a joy to fly. In the real world, you may not have the chance to get your hands on a twin, real air is the closest at the point you'll get to a real twin.

If you are navigating the country side, I prefer to take the duke, if I was to do training specific material or playing around with a new scenery, it's the C172

Learning to use and getting use to FSX!

the 172 and Duke is apples and oranges, they are different kind of tools.  The 172 is a training/sight seeing tool and the Duke is a business transportation tool.  Of course in FSX there are no rules on how you use your 'tools'...which ever you prefer :)   If you want low and slow, go with the 172, if you want fast/complex, go with the Duke.  Both are excellent.

Or if you want low and fast, Duke, if you want high and slow... probably try a glider
