November 11, 201312 yr Hi, I've registered at the P3D website but I didn't received the password e-mail. I've tried with two different e-mail accounts and user names, but neither of them received the registration confirmation mail (I've checked the SPAM folder in both accounts, and no dice). I would have posted this at the P3D forums, but, not surprisingly, they require registration, so I can't post any problems with the website if I'm not registered, but the main problem is I can't register Did anybody have this issue when trying to purchase a P3D license? Thanks in advance, Miguel
November 11, 201312 yr I can confirm that there is a problem with the P3D forum. In my case I am unable to recover my lost password. Could someone with a working account please alert the admin of the forum? /Lars
November 11, 201312 yr Same problem here. I've been trying to purchase all weekend. No email response and no means of contacting anyone at LM without registering. When I tried to re-register It won't allow this because I am apparently already registered. At the moment the whole website is unaccessible. Not very impressed. Jbee. John B
November 11, 201312 yr Moderator Guys, it is a four-day holiday here in the United States (Veteran's Day). The folks at L-M do take off the weekends every week, so this weekend is just a bit longer... They will be back tomorrow morning and undoubtedly take care of any problems with the website. Currently it appears that the entire domain is down (http://prepar3d.com) Fr. Bill AOPA Member: 07141481 AARP Member: 3209010556 Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
November 11, 201312 yr And since Lockheed Martin is primarily a Defense Company I'd imagine a lot of Vets work for them. 100%75%50%d8a34be0e82d98b5a45ff4336cd0dddc Patrick
November 11, 201312 yr And since Lockheed Martin is primarily a Defense Company I'd imagine a lot of Vets work for them. But Lockheed Martin's main site is up. Gerry Howard
November 11, 201312 yr Moderator As of this moment, the website and forums are back up and operational. The staff of course will not be back into the office until Tuesday morning. Fr. Bill AOPA Member: 07141481 AARP Member: 3209010556 Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
November 12, 201312 yr Although the website and forum came up again yesterday, the system is still not generating an email with registration password. Another person previously advised L-M of a problem with a password email not being sent, in a forum post on 8 November. L-M seemed to be unaware of any issue. I would have thought password generation should be a fully automated system, not requiring staff to be in attendance. There is no indication on the site today that L-M are aware of a problem, and without the password it's not possible to post on their forum. Perhaps someone with a useable password could put a post on the L-M P3D forum to highlight this. Jbee. John B
November 13, 201312 yr Author Well, I was finally able to retrieve my password. Apparently, the registration process ended correctly, but the registration confirmation e-mail was not send. Fortunately, today I clicked on Forgot your password, and this time I received the link to reset it. I did, and now I'm correctly registered. Thanks to all Miguel
November 17, 201312 yr Unfortunately the problem persists - neither retreiving the lost password from my original registration nor registering again with a different username and email-adress has worked today. I surely hope and trust that this will be fixed before the P3D2 launchparty ..
November 17, 201312 yr I had the same problem last night. It keep rejecting my password until it locked my account after 5 tries. I selected "create new password". I used my email address not my username to do this. A message was sent to me with a link and I was able to reset my password and log in successfully. It appears their system is having a password login issue. Cheers, Cpt. Thad Wheeler
November 27, 201312 yr I have the same problem receiving any registration e-mail with a password in it since monday morning. I just send an e-mail to the LM support and hope they can fix it.
April 19, 201412 yr I tried to register with a gmx.net and a .net adress via 1&1. Both didn´t recived any mail from P3D website. Then i used my gmail.com adress and it worked without any waiting time.Maybe you need an .com or an american or more international mailprovider. I hope this would help.
May 14, 201412 yr I wonder if anyone has found a rhyme or reason to this? Do emails to less-known / custom domains eventually turn up, or are they a lost cause? Emails seem to appear fine if I sign up with a gmail account, but I'd much rather use my real email address for such a purchase.
