15$ aside ... if DTG wants to attract new people into the world of flight simming they need to deliver a GAME that people enjoy PLAYING (not simming).I seriously doubt that this can be achieved with "flight lessons" only. IMO there needs to be some sort of game-mission or call it "movie-missions" or something. From a simming point of view these missions will be plain wrong and stupid, like chasing an UFO or landing on a train (FSX missions anyone?). These mission need to be also presented in a more immersive way than only with some text and voice over. I think with these sort of missions you can attract people to try a flight simulator. And with these missions you can hook these people up and maybe some of them then want to do these missions just a bit more realistic und switch over to the "real sim". Heck just look at what FSX offered years ago: http://www.simhq.com/_air14/air_527a.html Sadly MS never promoted this aspect very much in FSX.

When starting the update installer I only can choose between FSX and P3D V1 ?! Guess this is a bug and I have to wait for a new update to be downloadable. Edit: After resintall the Comanche and doing two reboots of my PC it now states V2 and everything installed normaly :blink:

I only read that these problems seem to occur only in FSX? How about P3D? I assume that there are no problems as I just saw the videos made by Rob.

Thanks! Now I can finally set my controls again without CTDs :rolleyes: But otherwise it looks very nice! Hopefully the CTDs will cease with another update of Re-Shade B)

CTDs for me when I was in the P3D menue and switch out of it. Question: To deinstall it do I only have to rename the d3d.dll or do I have to manually delete some more files?

A lot of people (me included) have problems downloading from the FTX site since some time. Rob, your bad zip file is bad because you haven't downloaded the complete file. The download just stops sometimes from the FTX servers. No one knows exactly why. This problem is known by the orbx staff but the only solution which is mentioned is to use a download manager. As for the cloud and google links, I get also the same results :(

Does anyone really understand the two options A2A is offering here: http://a2asimulations.com/c172p3drebate.html ? I have the FSX Version and would like to switch to the P3D Version so I think Option 2 is the right one for me? But why do I have to send them the FSX and P3D order number? So I guess I have to first buy the P3D Version and after that I can get a refund that I can only use for other purchases at A2A? Sorry but for me it is REALLY confusing what A2A has written in in the link I posted ...

There are still some problems with older airports from Aerosoft like EDDM (Munich) or EDJA (Allgäu Airport Memmingen). Still no runway lights at night :(

I have the same problem receiving any registration e-mail with a password in it since monday morning. I just send an e-mail to the LM support and hope they can fix it.

How is the Eurofighter now with the released service pack? Is the HUD fixed and corresponds now with what the airplane is really doing? Maybe EngineRoom could tell us a bit about his feelings with the service pack? Thanks guys!

Got the same problem after installing some addons. The trick which worked for me was renaming the fsx.cfg to fsx_old.cfg so that FSX will create a new one when you start it. Good luck! :)
