City by the bay ...

Rob,

Thanks for your comments but I am pretty sure I would get a slide show with my under powered machine. I just purchased the Aerosoft A321ext , which I was dying to try and I can salvage about 12-15 at FSDT KLAX with normal settings. Maybe Santa will be nice this year.

Thanks all, it's a frame rate killer, but it's just barely flyable.

That was going to be my question... Lots of detail, and lots of traffic, going to be hard on the frame rate.

Probably an "egg beater" is the way to go, frame-wise - not a lot of speed that would force the rendering engine into overtime.

Nice shots, Rob.

As an aside, and not to hijack your thread, I used to travel to New York quite a bit. It is a "dark" city, lots of dark buildings. SF is a "city of light" in comparison.

I used to live in the City (Nob Hill area - Washington/Taylor), it's beautiful city.  Wish I were still there, but with 1 bedroom condo's going for $1.2M downtown -- I opt'd to get a house for 1/2 as much out in the burbs.

Well cheers to Santa ... I'm hoping he'll bring you something nice Carl.  It's been a great year for flight simming.

Love it! Takes me back!

I did this in real life flying in a Beaver on floats from Richardson Bay back in 2009. What a blast!

And some views...

Nice real life footage, surprised they let you fly in that airspace over Alcatraz.

Great pics, and great car!

Thank you sir, virtual flying is certainly easier on the budget.

I like to call racing the bottomless hole I throw money into.
