December 16, 200421 yr Just noticed the Fokker 100 package for FS9 in the library. I can't tell you how happy I am to see it. It was my default aircraft in FS2002, and just a great size jet to fly. I've been waiting for this, and I'm downloading it now. I hope it's a great package.Has anyone tried it yet, and what do you think?
December 16, 200421 yr Yeah, it is pretty nice, not that far removed (on the face of it) from the 2002 version, but it has always been about the FDE anyway, which is great.I do have a couple of little niggles I would like to solve.1) the EPR gauge doesnt seem to move.2) would like to replace the ADI and HSI with something a little more pleasing to the eye, anyone got any suggestions?.3) the sounds exhibits an annoying "wrap" around effect where the sample loops, its pretty noticable, how could this be fixed, or made less intrusive.CheersDan.
December 16, 200421 yr Dan, there were RXP avionics replacement files for the 2002 version. I'm sure that there will be the same for the 2004 variant.I'll likely be releasing at least one set myself..Look at www.reality-xp.com, community, user files.. Bert
December 16, 200421 yr One of my favorite packages for FS2002, so am very glad that V2 has finally been released!A great shame however, that I see no mention of the VC that was being worked on for this release. I have some screenshots of it kicking about somewhere, and it looked absolutely brilliant. But I guess they have had to dispense with it for whatever reason. Perhaps we may see it in an update. One can only hope!Looking forward to getting her airborne later today!Al.
December 16, 200421 yr The installer does not give you the option to install to a temp. folder and transfer files manually like I did in version 1. Does it overwrite any pre-existing files in the flightsim folders?
December 16, 200421 yr Yes, you can do it to a temp folder, just right click the exe file, and open with, winrar or winzip, whatever compression utility you use. Then you will see that there is a zip file inside this exe, that contains all of the Fokker files, just extract that to a temp folder and install manually.Dan.
December 16, 200421 yr VERY ENJOYABLE...Took a short flight (60+ miles) from KABE to KIPT and the flight was great. Only problem was "PULL UP" after postitive climb rate established and doing 1900 ft climb rate, and excessive "sink rate" and "pull up" vocalizations when landing at perfect descent according to ILS glideslope. How do you fix?
December 16, 200421 yr Thanks for the reply. I already figured it out exactly as you had said and took it for a quick spin around MIA with no problems.
December 16, 200421 yr I'm so happy to see the Fokkers re-released for FS2004. They are great quality freeware aircraft. I had the 2002 versions (with the FS9 work-arounds) installed some time ago but they were lost in the shuffle between upgrades, reinstalling FS, etc.I'm having the same problem as above... When I'm established just fine on the ILS, with Flaps 42, gear down, throttle appropriate to maintain ~130 kias Vref, with LDP and BRK buttons on the glareshield engaged and flashing, I'm receving all kinds of GPWS audio messages as well. I hope there's some kind of fix for this, or maybe I'm doing something wrong?
December 16, 200421 yr Yep, looks good to me... are you going to post the panel.cfg files? ;)Has anyone figured out why the EPR gauges arent working?.Dan.
December 16, 200421 yr I'm planning to upload my Jet Line 2 adaptation to the Reality-XP community site.If anyone wants it before then, shoot me a message.. Bert
December 16, 200421 yr Great to see this package released. I enjoyed the F100 twice in real life once, on a roundtrip flight between DFW and Detroit back in '95.I've heard American is phasing out the F100. It's a fairly new aircraft--anyone know why American is phasing it out? Are there any other American operators flying the F70/100?-John
December 16, 200421 yr Anyone notice the rotating red beacon under the plane? This package is really well done! Hard to believe it is freeware... Bert
