Well that was a waste of $375 Video card upgrade.

Ok so I was having an issue with stutters and slow loading of internal and external models in P3D with my 660ti so I ordered a new gtx770 4gb and I can honestly tell you it didn't help much payware planes still take along time to load though it is shorter and no fps increase, the stutters have went away though. So if your thinking about a GPU upgrade and expecting it to make a huge difference I'd think twice. Luckly I play games on this PC too so the card won't go to waste but still I thought the GPU was supposed to actually do something now. I can't imagine that my CPU at 4.5ghz is a bottleneck. I will say I like the card though should cut through BF3 and Skyrim like a hot knife through butter.

You may want to consider a clean install.

Or go play Assassin's Creed 4 with that beastie card and have fun. It will have been worth it.

deleting your prepar3d.cfg and letting the sim rebuild it can be beneficial.

I'm really enjoying AC4 ;)

I take it back it seems to be running a lot better since I deleted my old shaders folder changed the Texture bandwith to 120, added BP=0 and added fibertimefraction=.15 but I'm not sure if that does anything in P3dV2, and changed affinity mask settings so that it only uses 6 of my 8 cores allowing windows to use the other two. Now its smooth as butter with almost everything maxed out. Maybe it took P3D awhile to get used to the new card haha.

I noticed a similar thing when I first fired it up. Started out with fps in the teens but smooth as silk. Kept looking and flying around and noticed that the fps had increased and stayed at 30 (where I have it locked). Been fine ever since.

Well, flushing out the old shaders is almost certainly the real "fix", since they are compiled when you first install P3D for the card you have installed at the time of installation.

The other tweaks aren't required at all, especially since Core0 is already reserved for the OS.

In any case I'm delighted to read that you've gotten it working now!
