Water in V2

Featured Replies

The water quality in p3d is great yet has potential to be even better. The luster of water in fsx is clearly more dramatic... but is not 3d and is not influenced by weather.... P3d's is and does. With Rex, you can add your preference in texture.. . But with 3d waves, I find less is more.

Tessalation, mesh, and water quality should be maxed for best results.

Well, then maybe you should screw down your expectations? I'm happy with my water and miss only sometimes white caps which I already wrote at the LM forum. But nothing is perfect at least of all human being.

One mans junk is another mans treasure I reckon.

So, what's so bad with such a water? I'm satisfied and call it awesome. I only miss some white caps as I already said but maybe one day they will be available too. The wind was about 13-14 kts and REX4 was used with "photoreal" wave animation. Weather generated with ASN.

How are you guys able to animate water, even at 2000Ft, I see it change in a weird way (for most it is static) with Rex4.  Very confused on this.  It seems to better without Rex4 on my end.  I can though see some animation when at the water level, I guess.

I don't see any whitecap animation etc
