December 19, 201312 yr google a nice little freeware program called "SPAD" works like a charm Floyd Stolle www.stollco.com
December 20, 201312 yr You need to add any entries into the exe.xml for p3d, simply copy the relavent lines from your FSX exe.xml this will initialise the panels. If you don't have exe.xml in p3d root folder simply create one or copy the one from FSX and delete the entires that are not needed.
December 20, 201312 yr Don't use the Saitek drivers. Install FSUIPC and SPAD instead. That's it! There is no need to edit or copy exe.xml when using SPAD. Simmerhead - Making the virtual skies unsafe since 1987!
December 20, 201312 yr Author Downloaded SPAD and FSUIPC. Now what do I do? I do not have FSX installed.
December 20, 201312 yr Downloaded SPAD and FSUIPC. Now what do I do? I do not have FSX installed. You should be good to go. Follow the SPAD manual for setting up the buttons (really you can just leave at SPAD default and everything works great). Then start SPAD before you start P3D. And you should be golden. Hope it works for you. Rob"Life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it"
December 20, 201312 yr Downloaded SPAD and FSUIPC. Now what do I do? I do not have FSX installed. 1) Install FSUIPC 2) Install SPAD 3) Run SPAD 4) Run Prepar3D Enjoy! Simmerhead - Making the virtual skies unsafe since 1987!
December 20, 201312 yr Author FSUIPC its installed in Prepar 3d folder. Spad is running. Still no panel. Prepar 3D never asked me if I m installing a software.. I must have made a bad step somewhere
December 20, 201312 yr Before you run P3D When you start SPAD, you should see the display from you radio panel cycle then go black. Then if you double click the little SPAD icon in you task bar it will open an interface, Study the interface, it will provide a tab for any Saitek module that is pugged into your computer. You should see one for your radio panel. Check this first, if it's good it should work. Also make sure your aircraft isn't set to cold and dark inside of the sim and there is a setting in FUIPC that stops your aircraft battery from draining. It could be working fine but your avionics are switched off inside the sim Floyd Stolle www.stollco.com
December 21, 201312 yr Author When In start SPAD my radios stay dark. It doesnt cycle. And SPAD has a message when I put the mouse over it that says waiting for FS connection.
December 21, 201312 yr The waiting for connection is fine. Did you open the SPAD interface? and do you see a tab on the top? will probably read "Radio Panel 1" If not, unplug you radio wait 5 seconds and plug it in again. If it still doesn't work, there may be a conflict with the original Saitek driver's. You may have to uninstall your Saitek driver's for things to start working. I would uninstall both Spad and the Saitek driver's then reinstall SPAD. Hope this helps Floyd Stolle www.stollco.com
