airframe vibration/rattle sound

Featured Replies

During taxi and take off the airframe vibration sound can be heard, however on many occasions this continues after take off and I have not found anyway to turn it off unless reload the aircraft. Is there any way to stop this from happening, is anyone else experiencing this issue?

Thanks

Thanks for the replies, well pressing Q  only mutes the overall sound of the sim and doesn't remove this particular sound and yes it stays throughout the the duration of the flight unless I reload the aircraft, at which point resets to normal inflight sounds. This sound mimics the airframe vibration you would experience in real life when taxiing or taking off.  I'm surprised that nobody else has experienced this issue but I will do a short video to demonstrate it.

Re-read the earlier point:

"Have you tried pressing Q twice?"

(emphasis mine)

This will, in general, reset the sound in the sim.  It's a well-known fix any time you shut down the aircraft and still hear the sound of the engines running, or similar.

How are you beginning your flight? As I recall you can have problems loading a pmdg plane twice in a row or even changing the default "fly now" flight from the default trike. Are you loading the default Cessna or trike before loading the PMDG?

Next time it happens I will press Q twice, I wasn't aware that doing so would clear this issue. Will report back.

I always start FSX then select the T7, airport, time and enter the sim, never have any issues. Having spent quite a bit of time resolving the issues that kept giving me OOM and CTD now got to the point where FSX runs really well and without any further crashes. Even managed to do an 11 hour long haul on Vatsim with the T7 without breaks or any other issues. As regards reloading the aircraft in mid flight no issues either.

Thanks

I often have to use the press q twice fix to resolve funny sound issues. I belive in sp1 there will be some work on this area incl. Options. Sometimes if flying long haul I will leave sound muted if I am doing other stuff around the house, seems to reduce liklyhood of a CTD as well.

Pressing Q twice worked fine. Lesson learned. Thank you all.
