January 19, 201412 yr Baton free att HLLQ Edit: I wonder when I had 625.9 KIAS :lol: Slight crosswind on landing, the control surfaces were almost large enough to handle it! Probably should have used only 15 degrees of flaps... Klas Member of AVSIM's Around the World Race Team
January 19, 201412 yr We seem to have two baton holders... which is a good thing because I just had an FSX crash invalidating my leg. No time to restart and go along as wingman unfortunately.
January 19, 201412 yr I am down safe at HEPS, Baton is free. We seem to have two baton holders... which is a good thing because I just had an FSX crash invalidating my leg. No time to restart and go along as wingman unfortunately. That we did Nick...I would appear the lag in the forums may be partially to blame. None the less..we advanced the baton...sorry to hear about your FSX crash.... Edited January 19, 201412 yr by Rndguy35
January 21, 201412 yr Good Morning, One of those damn "Polar Vortex's" showed up in this neighborhood, ( -9 (-23c) w/ a wind chill -24 (-34c) ) and here I sit in Port Said, Egypt where it is almost as warm as my coffee is getting cold. Going to burn up the desert at 500 ft. agl @ as close as I can get to M0.99 in the YFB-F-111 #39783 while my WIZZO is checking the radar for stray camels. Going to get'r hot, one way or another. I have the baton - HEPS --> OEKK FS RTWR SHRS F-111 JoinFS Little Navmap
January 21, 201412 yr Shoot !! Got 'er hot alright.. Was looking over at the laptop checking out the IAPs for King Khaled Military City and didn't notice that the CADC was disengaged. By the time I noticed it, KABOOM ! - Got er hot in the desert in a big way, 700 knots into the sand. Not much time to notice things at 200 feet over the deck at 700 kts, http://fs-duenna.com/flights/ShowFlight.php?detail=flight&value=uETPIsPyKul4EzoVdgKNo1wUFs Giving it another shot, this time safe and high, Have the baton again, HEPS --> OEKK in a different F-111 :-) FS RTWR SHRS F-111 JoinFS Little Navmap
January 21, 201412 yr Baton is free @ OEKK. The report is not valid and I know why.. It started transferring fuel on the start of descent trying to keep the cg in a stable state. The tank pump .dll sometimes doesn't remember exactly what it took or gave to what tank.. It's usually minimal dealing with the amount, but duenna caught it.. :-) Oh well, last flight for the 111 on a duenna run anyway. Back to props :-) Errors: 21.01.2014 14:25:10z ERROR: Refueled: last fuel weight=7898.0000lbs, fuel weight now=7936.0000lbs 21.01.2014 14:25:10z AT N 28* 35.7' / E 43* 31.4' at 32882ft GS:1103kts, IAS:650kts, VS:-5ft/min 21.01.2014 14:25:10z STATE 21.01.2014 14:25:10z AIRCRAFT 13_SHRS_FB-111A / Counter 1 21.01.2014 14:25:10z 21.01.2014 14:25:10z ERROR NEW: [Refueled] 21.01.2014 14:25:10z AT N 28* 35.7' / E 43* 31.4' at 32882ft GS:1103kts, IAS:650kts, VS:-5ft/min 21.01.2014 14:25:10z STATE 21.01.2014 14:25:10z AIRCRAFT 13_SHRS_FB-111A / Counter 1 21.01.2014 14:25:10z 21/01/2014 14:25:07; 28.600298; 43.505583; 32882; 8; 1103; 650; 0 21/01/2014 14:25:10; 28.595262; 43.523062; 32882; -5; 1103; 650; 0 21/01/2014 14:33:36; 27.920822; 45.502564; 1866; -1578; 246; 243; 0 21/01/2014 14:33:41; 27.916968; 45.507234; 1712; -2288; 213; 211; 0 http://fs-duenna.com/flights/ShowFlight.php?detail=flight&value=FfSt2qiM3V7XTFFzIoDKTrqQU THE ONLY! vegetation seen over the 725 mile trip :-) Taken about 10 minutes before turning it into a lawn jart. January 22, 201412 yr Another early morning run w/ the go-go juice. (coffee) I have the baton, OEKK --> OOMS in the AS DH.103 Hornet. Range is going to be a factor but the winds up high look like they will help. If not, may divert to OMAL. FS RTWR SHRS F-111 JoinFS Little Navmap
