January 14, 201412 yr I dropped it into an Aeroflot suit, and it looked Quait Nice, thank you TDS... I've been trialling a very wide screen, and found the 2D panel gauges unusable, of course. But then I stacked up the windows, and I'm sure there is a good solution there somewhere: And since the panel came over from the TDS -700, so did edetroit's flap vortex, thanks Ed!
January 14, 201412 yr And since the panel came over from the TDS -700, so did edetroit's flap vortex, thanks Ed! Looks like something from 2005 - Deja Vu all over again!
January 14, 201412 yr Looks like something from 2005 - Deja Vu all over again! Almost correct: According to Wikipedia, "the domestic terminal [of Tolmachevo Airport, HG] was completely renovated in 2006." ^_^ Harald Geyer Gründer der Messerschmitt Freunde Dresden v. V.
January 14, 201412 yr Commercial Member Thanks guys, we hope you enjoy this aircraft - I've been toying with the idea of making an official 2d panel to go along with it as well (no vc, don't have the time sorry). If anyone sees this and is wondering about FSX - those specific files (native model and FDE) will be available soon. I am currently in the process of creating the -900 master textures, followed by the -600, then the MAX-series. Best Regards,Kyle SchurbDeveloper of Virtual Cockpits, Sceneries, and Liveries. January 14, 201412 yr Moderator Isn't the a freeare NG panel available somewhere? I'm thinking of installing fs9 in the wife's laptop along with this bird. Is it good on frames? Jon, There's the PSPanels 737NG Panel; I use it with the TDS -700: http://library.avsim.net/search.php?SearchTerm=setup.zip&CatID=fs2004pan&Go=Search It looks really nice! Alan
January 15, 201412 yr Have tried one download of this aircraft, and found it to be a bit of a performance hog on my (old) PC. Obviously if you have a newer machine than mine it probably won't be an issue for you. I can always tell if an aircraft is not going to perform well on my setup when I select it and it doesn't revolve smoothly in the preview screen. No worries for me though there are still wall to wall poskies out there. Whatever your choice of 737NGs the Paul Scarrett panel is by far the best (amongst the freeware offering's anyway IMO) out there. Nice that people are still creating stuff for the old grandad of sims though. Cheers H.of the socks
January 15, 201412 yr Shouldn't it be possible to use Arjan Scheffels panel (as WingZ showed here for the 737-700) and upgrade it with an FMC? So far I have only heard of the payware FMC by Integrated Simavionics. Is there also a freeware FMC out there in the libraries? And will the FMC work together with the plane then? By the way, thanks TDS and good luck for making the -900 and -600 variants, as the -600 is the plane of my interest. Harald Harald Geyer Gründer der Messerschmitt Freunde Dresden v. V.
January 15, 201412 yr The Scheffel panel should certainly work - but I do not think one could fiddle with the panel functions! Still, the greatest thing abut freeware is you can experiment, so maybe someone could come up with something... I'm kind of keen to see the MAX modelled, I would have thought it impossible to squeeze yet another few centimetres onto the engine waistline, given the already minimal ground clearance! And Kyle: yes, what a good idea! preferably one that comes in separate scalable windows (See above). I've found on super-wide aspect that many one-piece 2D panels are unusable.
January 16, 201412 yr So, should I decide to buy these gauges, will they work with the TDS 737 series generally? Their functionality together with the AS panel would be a matter of testing. Thanks, Harald Harald Geyer Gründer der Messerschmitt Freunde Dresden v. V.
