Taxi Cameras/A Real working Weather Radar

Taxi cameras are not going to be added in SP1.  Taxi cameras aren't an option on the LR.  They're an option on -300ER only, and it's currently not known if they've figured out a way to do it in a stable way.

Working weather radar?  That would certainly be a surprise...

Was there an official announcement regarding the SP1 list and what surprises await us?

Nope.

And since public beta hasn't been released yet we can't expect SP1 at least before Mars.

Wide beta.  PMDG doesn't do public betas.

There was

There wasn't.  You'll note in post 1 of this very thread, RSR mentions that he's holding off on stating what will specifically be in this SP/EP:

"I am not quite ready to publish our inclusion list just yet, but I may do so once we are in testing just so you have an idea what you will see with the update."

The only reason I can think why they haven't is that they haven't made any noteworthy progress, or they get sick of the constant questions about things they've said they won't answer every time they post an update.

If you look at these debates in the past, you'll find several cases where the team notes that a lot of it is because they're tired of the whining that always takes place after they post.

As I've said before (I think in this thread):

Coming here to post takes time and effort - regardless of how much time or effort.  People will complain.

Not coming here to post does not sacrifice that time or effort.  People will complain.

If people complain either way, but the latter option takes no time or effort, why go off and waste time and effort to get the same response?  Post the minimal amount necessary.

Go back and re-read it...

They weren't coming out in two weeks.  The SP1/300ER was the item that was going to go out to the wide beta team in approximately 2 weeks.

At some point in the future, the OC will be used for fixes, no matter how large (to include microfixes).

It's in the first post. Go back and have a look.

''We anticipate that we will begin pushing micro-updates via the Operations Center in the near future...''

as you said the aprox 2 weeks is the time that wide beta would start, + aprox 2 weeks  of wide beta(wich hasnt started yet).  it has been  almost 1 month, i tought the oc micro updates would come somewhere before the release the sp1/300. but i admit, the 2 weeks in may post is a fault. :fool:

it has been a long time since the last upate, i ve even forgtten what he said  :Nerd:

Where did anyone say "approximately 2 weeks of wide beta?"

Additionally, the full quote was:

"In all seriousness- we are holding the SP1 update, the 300ER, the OC update and the 777 SDK until all of them are ready for your use because they are so tightly intertwined it just makes testing simpler and cleaner if we hold all of them until they are stable and ready. This will minimize any hiccups and hopefully prevent us from breaking something that is already working well in the interest of trying to fix something without adequate testing...

On that front, however I do have some good news! We anticipate that we will begin pushing micro-updates via the Operations Center in the near future- and then it would be a simple process for us to push out even minor updates or tweaks with minimal fuss on your, or our end of the process. More details on this at a later date!"

That clearly alludes to nothing happening until all of the SP1 update, 300ER, and OC update coming out.  After that, updates through the OC...
