This is why it's called FS9.xx... a very long way from what was loaded, out of the box.

I'm inviting more Kai Tak shots, I do like that first one.

Well Kai Tak is right up my street as I do like the older aircraft. Might be in my DC-8…..still working on the engine rating/EPR code.  :Nerd:

Okay... I stopped using the Zinertek stuff after I purchased other packs... Is it the World Environment Pro one?

Oh... Whoa! I see it now! Gonna have to buy THAT!

With a decade to mature, and with all the add-ons, gizmos and gadgets available to us, FS9 looks nothing like how it started out 10 years ago.  FS9 has aged like a fine wine.  Why do we still fly FS9?  Why not??

How's your FS9 looking lately??  (Post your screenshots, AVSIM screenshot rules apply.)

Cheers!!

Thanks for sharing nice shots looks like fun ;-)

Reminds me about the great times I had in 2004....

Ooooooh... I have such gloriously wet and ripply looking water now, thanks for the tip. Shut up and just take my money, Zinertek!

A couple more shots. :Nerd:

Ed, how is your choice of airlines if you fly a DC-8 nowadays? Must be something African?

Meanwhile I took a vacation from the "ol' smokers":

Landscape, landscape, landscape...

But the plane may get "dirty".

so it may be better not to care for health and environment all the time.

P.S. It's a pity one isn't allowed to insert working links to airliner.net pictures. This one is my favorite DC-8 picture because of the foreground:

Hello Harald, I pay no heed as to whether aircraft/airlines are still flying or not any more. If I like 'em I fly 'em.

I have chosen to stick with my favourite DC-8 type…the DC-8-62. ….the only real difference with the -63 is the lack of APU.

Nice Air Zaire pic btw….. check those cars out! I remember the Peugot in the middle as one of the Nigerian taxis back in the day.
