March 23, 201412 yr Author I have a idea. If use smaller sized sound file, we can avoide the stutter, but can't avoide sound quality down. So how about this? To add a guage code or XML code to pre-load this sound files. eg. When landing gear down is commanded on FSX, the new code runs to play the big sound files. But only 0.001 second. So actually we can't hear the sound. But on the FSX memory, the big files are pre-loaded. The triger can be anything. Specific altitude or Specific distance to runway, specific flap positions ..ETC So when we touch-down, the sound playing is running smoothly. Sorry for my poor English. I am not a programmer, ...I had to learn programming...
March 23, 201412 yr for a different solution maybe you could create a RAM DRIVE and install the aircraft there....bet it would run silky smooth there...if you have enough spare RAM! Russell Gough SE London
March 23, 201412 yr Author Anyone want to test? I did cut and edit with the part of loop. So the sound files matain original vivid and high qaulity , but the size is 1/10. 67.8MB ---> 6.85MB This files are all played at the touch-down moment. I didn't touch other sound files. I tested, and the stutter is gone. If you want test, PM me with your e-mail adress. I will send this files. (Sorry for my poor English)

April 1, 201412 yr Commercial Member Would be interested in the results from the likes of Mr Prest etc. I still feel that the lower fps in PMDG aircraft is down to the gauges. Alex Alex Ridge Join Fswakevortex here! YOUTUBE and FACEBOOK

April 2, 201412 yr Commercial Member The system for sound caching and whatnot has been totally redone for SP1 and has various modes you can choose from now. From what we've seen in testing it has eliminated the stuttering stuff. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
