March 31, 201412 yr Foolishly, I'll add my fourpeneth. You do NOT need to set your landing runway before you take off. Here's a route from Kathmandu to Bangkok, courtesy of Simroutes. I don't know if it works. AHALE R344 RJA G463 BETNO You need to enter that into the FMC and activate it. You also need to enter all the other necessary information. When you are given your take-off runway, enter that into the FMC from the Departures page by pressing the DEP/ARR button and add a SID which takes you to AHALE. It will have a code that looks something like AHA01A When you are getting close Bangkok but before you start descending, find out what the wind is at VTBS and therefore which runway will be in use. Enter that runway into the FMC from the Arrivals page by pressing the DEP/ARR button and then select a STAR which starts at BETNO. It will have a code that looks something like BET09Z. If it asks for a Transition then as others have mentioned, you really really need VTBS approach charts which you can Google for yourself. Re-activate the route. This should bring you onto approach for the desired runway.
March 31, 201412 yr So my and my friend set everything in right after takeoff we entered into this problem, we got buffet alert? And the plane is saying we are flying to fast? We are only flying 140 knots?
March 31, 201412 yr The image is low res, but can you confirm you set ZFW to 777? Lj. Prodanovic
March 31, 201412 yr You cannot load aircraft to 777 Zero Fuel Weight, no matter what units you use (kgs or lbs). When you're at perf init page, just double click the button beside ZFW entry and it will be automatically loaded for you. March 31, 201412 yr I'm not sure, but I think loading aircraft with full payload and full fuel would overweight the aircraft. Lj. Prodanovic
March 31, 201412 yr But in fs actions i set fuel to full and payload to full. And thanks 777k is 747 teritorry, and even that in pounds. Really, do do the tutorial. Get the basics right. --Peter Fabian
March 31, 201412 yr The ZFW for a full payload/full fuel on the NGX per the FS Actions pages is 136.1 Rob Marton
March 31, 201412 yr But in fs actions i set fuel to full and payload to full. And thanks FS actions? Through the FSX menu or through the 737 CDU? AJ Pongress
March 31, 201412 yr Yes tsa, we saw that thing when my and my friend made a new flight some time ago. Well we fixed the buffer problem and we fine reach 250 knots. But now there is an other problem we get using reserve fuel message from fmc. And we set the fuel to 2/3 before takeoff. What should we write in reserve fuel and cost index? And we hope to mate a success approach this time.
March 31, 201412 yr well... try 2.0 for reserves and cost index of 96. What is the flight distance between Bangladesh and Kathmandu? Rob Marton
April 1, 201412 yr No this time we made a flight from Copenhagen to antalya (Turkey) and adding a takeoff star worked fine. The flight will take about 3 hours and 30 min
