February 6, 200521 yr Quoted from SB Website"Release Candidate! The RC1 build of SquawkBox was just released to testers. Release candidate builds differ from betas in that no changes will be made unless a further critical error is found during testing. So barring any major problems all that remains is for VATSIM to grant approval to SquawkBox 3 and for me to finish up the final holes in the documentation.Thank you all for your continued patience--it shouldn't be much longer until release now. Rest assured that everything is being done by all parties involved to get SB3 out as soon as possible."

February 7, 200521 yr You all should know that once SB3 is done, it will be sent to VATSIM for testing and approval on the network before it is released. It may take a while (read...month or two) before VATSIM approves it and it is released to the public. Eric
February 7, 200521 yr Correct. So if you go to the Joel's SB3 download site: www.squawkbox.ca you won't find a file to download yet. The release was apparently to the current list of beta testers and I assume to the VATSIM authorities.Hope RC1 all works smoothly. SB really needs a new face. And Joel has been laboring on this for a long time. He'll deserve a break and our thanks.Larry
February 7, 200521 yr I'm happy to wait until everything works before using SB3. Who cares if it's another month or so? It's all free after all.http://online.vatsimindicators.net/916312/3.png Gavin Barbara Over 10 years here and AVSIM is still my favourite FS site :-)
February 7, 200521 yr IMHO, we've waited this long (2 flightsim versions, I think), I think we can wait another month or so... :( Declared weather: FSX: ASN / FS9: ASE
February 7, 200521 yr ***I am sure it will bring online flying back to life.***Back to life? When did it die? Sure isn't dead when I'm flying ;-)P.S. I see it says "HTML use enabled" but when I try to use it, the HTML tags show up?
