If I already have ASN installed will I need to do anything special to get WX radar working on the 777 after installing SP1, or will it just be automatically available?

No idea, but I'm sure they'll tell us either here or in the manual when the SP comes out. My guess is it'll just work.

I agree. 100% seems way too much, especially combined with the way turbulence is done in FSX. I tried disabling turbulence in FSX but the problems remain. Maybe the idea is that 100% in a thunderstorm is meant to be so daunting that you will not want to fly through. But turbulence overall seems excessive. I have the same issue with non PMDG addons too.

The other problem I have is that there are always thunder and lightning effects if only in the distance. Even where I know there are none, ie at my local airport.

Cheers, I'll try that.

I've also reduced the cloud turbulence to match wind turbulence. I hadn't seen that option before. With both turbulence values at 25% I'm finding the response much better. Severe 100% turbulence might be good to experience occasionally but not all the time which is what I was getting.
