Can someone post the best settings for AS Next to be used with PMDG aircraft (NGX and T7 primary).

 

I'm mostly interested about wind settings, as there are options such as "enhanced turbulence" which, by manual, "can alter aircraft handling feeling in some cases", wake turbulence, and other...

EDIT: Damn, I whine every day about multiple treads and now I did it... 

 

I have my wind turbulence set to around 80, try experimenting with 40 - 90. 100 seems a bit too much. 

I left everything default except for the view distance.

Turned that down to 90 or so.

When I first setup ASN I started with turbulence at 100 and enhanced checked. It didn't take many flights until I set it at 40 and did away with enhanced. From 40, I went to 60 and just yesterday I went to 80. Too much. I am going back to 60. BTW I understand from the developers reply in HiFi Forum that turbulence in cloud does not work or does not work the way they think it should.

Best settings for me were to leave everything at default and lower the cloud view distance to around a 100 (for performance). It's been working great right out the box without needing to change anything.

Enhanced was like the sky was boiling. Enhanced unchecked was still a rough ride but nothing liked enhanced. I just finished KMEM-KLAX in the MD-11 and the whole flight was rough. I almost puked just looking at the screen.

 

No S-Turns under any settings for the NGX, 777, or MD-11, I don't know about the 744. It's in the desert waiting on V2.

S-turns with the 744v1. But not with the more recent PMDG releases.

I run it completely at defaults except for a lowered high altitude view distance (I think I have it set to 90 or 110 or something).

The weather radar coming with T7 SP1 will work only with Active Sky Next (at last initially).

I'm with Ryan.  I can't remember what I set the vis levels at, exactly, but those are the only ones I really changed.

I have enhanced turbulence checked, turbulence set to 100, all wind shear and capability's set to max, surface winds set to 75, altitude winds set to 150, and altitude winds set to interpolate auto. It runs great and is the most realistic.

Yes, this is needed for the wx radar and stuff in SP1.

I just use the "live" default.  Have flown through some turbulence  KAUS PANC.

Works great. really like the radio connections for briefing ,etc.

 still get screen freezes now and then.
